Website server migration

Website hard drive - both where failing. Rather then replacing hard drive, I decided to migrate server to new machine. Current machine is like 4-5 yrs appx old. So it was about time. 

 

Their was additional cost for 2 months appx but worth it in long run. Currently website is running on new machine. I have tried to migrate everything and if you notice any issue, please share ASAP.

FYI: Emails are broken i.e. not being sent... Have to sleep for now but will check tomorrow.

Emails should be fixed. After 8 hrs+ figured it's IPS code issue. I sometimes skip IPS renewal because they are too costly for me.. 150$ in the drain.  Only +ve side would be less spam because of IPS spam service takes out good chunk of spammers.

I do not know if it's connected and if it's only for me but i noticed since today the wiki stopped working. It says it is missing intl php extension.

Fixed. All because of this non-sense IPS email bug.   Had to switch PHP 8.4 to 8.1.

I've noticed the forum seems a bit quicker to load and respond, which is a positive change. It could be due to the server migration or other optimizations. It would be great to get feedback from other members to confirm if they're experiencing the same improvements.

I have 2 +ve feedback. No feedback means, folks are not facing any issue further.

This isn’t a complaint more of an observation. I was looking at one of my posts from a few months ago and noticed a bunch of ?’s were added where I didn’t add them. I believe @Caipirinhanoticed something similar. It’s a small trivial thing I noticed but thought it might be worth mentioning.

That's an issue and possibly as Mosesis said coming from UTF8 to UTF8mb4 conversion OR MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.x upgrade. Can you please share public topic where I can do some testing? I don't want to interfere in your PM
