For work, i'm catching up with German and Italian which i studied when i was in school, but for the moment both at low level.

 

I had some conversational Dutch when i was a kid for family reason but same level as my level in German and Italian.

Look, I had a Portuguese exchange student at university, and honestly, when he started speaking, I found it hard to understand him hahaha. Portuguese people speak much faster and tend to leave out certain sounds.

It's slightly different when it comes to pronunciation and accent. Also some words differ. Although I think it looks like they are more similar now, nowadays.

German as mother tongue. Then English (quite good) and French (ok). I also learned a bit of Arabic at university, but I've forgotten everything ?
At the moment I'm trying to learn Brazilian Portuguese.

English and Turkish! I also took 5 years of Latin many moons ago but language atrophies over time if you don't use it so I don't remember much LOL

I only speak english and pitiful amounts of spanish (enough to basically not die if I ever went to Mexico.) I have multiple languages with a ton of points on duolingo but I'm not even remotely close to fluent in any of them. Pretty sure the app is a scam lol. Sucks being a dumb American. ?

Flemish (Dutch) and English fluently (can always be better though)
Knowledge of French : 8 years of French in school, can still read it and understand if I try but  no way I'm having a conversation in it, I don't like it
German: 2 years in school and hoped to maintain it with Duolingo until they changed the app and I don't like how it works anymore
Spanish: learned through Duolingo so certain sentences and words I understand but it's actually a bit more complicated than I expected
Estonian: learned a few sentences by friends who played ET, Aitäh 
Interested in getting better in Spanish and maybe learning Arabic, sadly any language is hard to maintain when you don't use it hence only being fluent in 2 and not nearly as good as I'd like it. Was hoping to become a translator one day... still seems like a fun thing to do but will probably never happen.
