If I were you, I would post this at one of the servers that run ET Legacy as their main server and know the admin side of it thoroughly

rcon is set in server.cfg or in this case etlserver.cfg

second shrubbot.lua is just a script to function/reason for shrubbot.cfg

g_shrubbot "" has to be set to g_shrubbot "shrubbot.cfg" which one would have to be put in the etmain directory not in the home directory 

on the bottom on this page it shows how to write the shrubbot.cfg https://fearless-assassins.com/wiki/index.php/Shrubbot_and_User_Database

 

make sure rcon is working check cvarlist and see if you can change g_speed or any related to the server

 

Checking timo site is about all the help your going to really find but it's been a couple years doubt anything has changed beside etl versions lol 

 

usually if all works like it's supposed to it would be /rcon password !setlevel 0 5 by default is max with the ACL symbol * for all flags if your the only one on the server

Are you trying to learn on how to host server for learning purpose or you want to have ready made server? What's your end goal? Thanks

i was clan ownder before 15 years ago, if someone tell me exatrly what do to or do first step ... will be fine , ilearn fast, i already create a forum , just failed with server thinks 15 years ago it was something else ..
