I've been having a connection issue every single night since I started playing again a little over a month ago. This issue is 7 days a week starting between 19:00-21:00 EST and ending between midnight-02:30. These just happen to be the exact hours I like to play, or would be playing I should say, because currently it is pointless. I'd really appreciate some help with this.

Here's some ss's of my lagometer to show what it's doing to ET and some trace's to Jay1, Jay2, and Silent1.

@daredevil FYSA

I had "notified" him somewhere else.  😄

FYSA is an acronym that stands for "For Your Situational Awareness". It is often used in the U.S. government and military in email correspondence.

Any other WinMtr Experts have opinions?

OH, and @Haruhi Suzumiya can I assume that you ran those tests during the lag-episodes?  Just checking.  😄

If you ran them with the FA Euro severs or other clans' servers and had similar results, that might indicate a problem local to you or to your ISP.  :?:   You could also try WinMtr with non-gaming sites, just to be curious.  (Hmm, that would not be as 'time-critical' as a game's stream of 'Real Time' UDP packets.)

FA has had some weird 💩 over the years, most recently when many Brazilians could not connect to the new Silent#1 IP, or when we Comcast users could not connect to jay#1.  :hmm

(Gee, @mraw435, you are making me feel "un-hip" these days!)

😄 that's my bad using acronyms, forgetting it's not a well known one! My family made fun of me not too long ago responding with 'FYSA' in the message!

This issue has been fixed as of the weekend. All it took was reporting it to the FCC and a few month long problem was fixed in a few days. The FCC gave them a week to fix it or face fines :). I know I wasn't the only one having the issue and can confirm that myself and one other's connections are working properly now. Here's the little bit of info I do have from the other player with the issue, he was the one who reported his ISP (different from mine) to the FCC after getting the usual run-around for weeks.

"It's the old lumen network that was causing issues, I assume some switches were getting over loaded. So defaulting to backup trunk lines that would only trickle packets out to stay up. This was the node that was not allowing throughput "207.50.7.0", It's located in North Carolina. It wasn't a result of the hurricane and flooding that went through there though. It was apparently hardware failure explicitly, due to too much bandwidth in use"

Hopefully any other player whose routing took them through the same nodes as ours to play on U.S. FA servers no longer has issues.

I had no idea that the FCC (USA-Federal Communications Commission) was involved with the Internet at all! :o   Good Job!
