Leader RedBaird Posted November 19, 2023 Leader Share Posted November 19, 2023 Did they say why it is not activated? Laptops should come with a manufacturer's copy of Windows, which cannot be transferred to other machines, I think.

TBAR Flash
Cheap notebooks (not older than 10 years) have the activation key in their BIOS. The original version should be Windows 10 Home, but maybe someone installed Windows 10 Pro. Check the bottom area of the Laptop. 2

TBAR Flash
OK, you will need a second computer to do this succesfully. And you need a 16 gb usb-stick. Download the latest Win10 Home 22H2 with this tool https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209 and select usb-stick as target. Start the laptop and boot from USB-Stick. Follow the instructions. Save your data, if necessary, from your new notebook, if you have already data on it BEFORE you install a new Windows 10 Home .

TBAR Flash
That depends on your computer. You can open the startmenu with: ESC F8 F10 F12 etc. Manual?
Tukkonen
If it's slow to open, you can read while booting what button opens Bios menu. Typically it's some f1, f2, f8, f9, f10, f11, f12 del or esc. If it's fast and trying buttons doesen't help, google might tell you what button is right for your computer. And in the bios menu you need to try find something like boot order, cant remember the exact name. Habe usb stick hooked into computer and put the usb as first choise
TBAR Flash
There must be a manual for your laptop online too. Search for it by typing the correct name and model into your search-engine.
