spectator Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Steam release came along, Jay 2 blew up. It was awesome...shortly after that crowd left, Jay 2 was left bare and worse than ever before. What happened? Did Steam have anything to do with it? What happened? Numbers right up and straight down, down lower than I've ever seen... Quote
Valk Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 The release of ET on steam blew up a lot of servers, not just FA servers. My guesses are the new players didn't like getting owned by people who have played for 10+ years. Plus I do know the steam version of ET had some problems and if people didn't know what settings to change, they'd probably uninstall. They has been a lot of topics regarding jay2, something needs to be done with redirecting jay1 players even slots are filled. 3 Quote

Last time Jay1 was full it couldn’t redirect me because of my cvar settings. I wonder if other players have the same issue when the server is full. Not that it would add huge numbers but if a lot of people aren’t getting redirected at all they probably sit there and wait for a slot to fill on Jay1. 1 1 Quote
captnconcrete Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) there is no right answer. jay2 always slows down in summer. i have less time for gaming myself. that an people got sick of eggos on jay2 . so now its crickets.i mean ive seen so many wawa cry bout teams but never move. its really that simple.no one wants to babbysit full grown ass men.an no one wants to play et 2v5 3v7 1 v3 .. we have a basic set of rules.. in wiki no one wants to follow and always want to argue. the constant bitching whinning stacking if ur losing teams must be off . has def taken a toll on any one who cared about jay2. sumtimes keeping ur mouth shut is good. just thought id lay that out there for yea.lol i never got excited bout steam cuz i know how the free stuff goes there. id agree sum peoples settings deter them from showin up at jay2. an et isnt really a start from scratch game nowdays. u need to know how to set game up right. to even be competitive. Valk Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 To tarnish jay2 with ego's and other things is a bit harsh. Since there are other servers with the same problems. On beg2 there's guys who want to rate and go for KR, and will stack teams and whine when teams are off. I also think everyone has less playing time around the summer months, people venture outside. 1 1 Quote

Capn never plays Jay 1, understandably, but if he wants to see real egos, that would be a good place to start 14 hours ago, Lusciousdrunk said: My guesses are the new players didn't like getting owned by people who have played for 10+ years I had this feeling right from the start, when this exact thing was happening 2 Quote
