Why do players who play much better than a Mac gamers who have a PC with Windows or Linux?

I found many good players who say they have the mouse sensitivity very low (1.2/1.6/1.8) to change the settings on the Mac are very strong and why?

Who reveals this mystery to me :P

I prefer my sensitivity in the 8 range because I have a small desktop space. I still have excellent fine motor skills, so barely adjusting for a better headshot is no problem, and spinning to check areas is fast and easy.

ok understood but a magical Wolfenstein's wrong with Mac?

Might be the wording of the question that is throwing me. Just for clarification:

Are you asking why people who play with a Macintosh based computer seem to be better, or at least have fewer issues playing, that people that use Windows or Linux?

Or are you asking about the difficulty of choosing settings while playing on a Macintosh based computer?

Or something completely different?

I would be interested to know why anyone with a Macintosh computer plays much better than those with a normal PC.

If you contact one of the many Fragger says that sensitivity and mouse that uses MAC 1.8/1.6/1.2 then why are the strongest?

Part of the reasoning might be that Macintosh based systems typically have less lag overall in regards to the system performance. One of the reasons Macintosh based computers are so good at what they do is they don't have to have massive compatibility built in like Windows does. Macintosh based computers pretty much don't have to worry about a variety of hardware configurations, which allows for specialized programming to fully utilize the hardware to its full potential. This reduces system lag between user input, to processing, to output.

Linux is half-way into the same boat as you compile the version of Linux for the system you have (processor), and then add hardware support as you need it. This gives Linux a boost because it doesn't have the bloat that Windows does. However, you still have a heavy amount of configuration to get it all flowing smoothly, which takes time to get just right.

The sensitivity part is just a matter of personal preference. Most "professional" gamers have large desktop areas which allows for wide, sweeping gestures, or they also have scripts to adjust their sensitivity while they play. They'll have a mid to high sensitivity for movement, but drop it for trickjumping and battles.

The only scripts i have are /kill and right click to through knife. I dont know if you think playdead and reload are scripts also.

Me too xD I have absolutely no idea on what a good cfg is >_<

I don't play better on linux , and I doubt I would play better on a mac.

just one note about mouse sens:

many, many players say: 'I have 1.337 5 10 12345678' etc. etc. that gives you no info about their mouse sens. Unless you know their mouse dpi, desktop sens, whether they use directinput or not, etc. etc.)

Keep in mind that the only way to measure your mouse sensitivity is cm/360 (at least if you don't use accel, but nobody uses accel in et so who cares)

For example, I use (atm, I cange it every other day) 0.96 sens, which (in *my* case, that is 2000dpi, and linux in_dgamouse 2, and no mouseaccel) is roughly 20.5 cm for a 360 degree turn. That is a pretty high sens, for et standards.

if I set my mouse to 800 dpi, my sens number would be 2.4 but it would be the *same* sens (20.5 cm for a 360 turn), if I set it to 400dpi, then 4.8 would be the same sens, and so on.

Many etpro players have a sens around 38-40 cm/360 afaik, and some even lower (that is more cm for a 360 turn) but you have also highskilled players using 16cm/360 so it's a matter of what's comfortable for you.

if I used 1.2 with my settings, it would be a very high sens, and you call it low, becaue you miss the whole dpi point.

I hope it is clear now, but maybe I didn't explain it well.
