The new mouse has probably a 1000 MHz refresh rate. Try to reduce it to 500 MHz

From an other forum :

ET:Legacy mouse stutter/lag fix

So those who have somekind of mouse problems when they use legacy like mouse feels laggy & not so smooth than in original ET i have fix for this

to do these you must open your console ingame and type these cmds:

in_mouse "3"
in_restart

what is in_mouse ? it is raw input.

"Raw input, part from bypassing the windows settings, makes your mouse movement independent of framerate. Previously, fps did affect your mouse movement so you would need like 250+ to be sure your mouse isn't going to have negative accel. Although it does have a threshold of 100fps for optimal mouse usage, neg accel doesn't seem apparent until you get below 60 fps. Raw input is really good and makes the game more consistent."

Here is the link where i found out about this command. ETLEGACY Mouse stutter & lag

I think the thread op had issues using 2.60b and fixed the issue with legacy??

If that is the case it might be because the mouse software made his original mouse "raw" and his newer mouse prob wasn't? hence the weird feel, installing legacy solved that?
