Can't connect to servers

Hey everyone, used to play this game 10+ years ago  

anyway, when i'm trying to connect to servers, the downloads either take AGES, like at download rate of 3 kb/s

or it just stays at the download screen and does nothing...

I have a good computer, nice internet speed (40mb), maybe my connection settings in the game are wrong? 

I dont really know which setting I should set, so I tried all 3 choices but still same shit 🤔

Also, I tried a few servers, all same results..

Check if the downloads are enabled and the speed is good enough.

 

You can set directly in the console

Try directly:

 

/connect s1.clan-fa.com:27960 

 

Also make sure you have security patch applied.

I copied + paste both commands on console, didnt see anything pops after that, is that ok ?

btw what is seta ?

seta just writes the cvar to your cfg 

does it download fast now

Yes, this is ok. If you want to check if the change actually works, try typing just cl_allowdownload (or cl_wwwdownload), and see what value it returns
