Stuck on "Awaiting Gamestate"

@RedBaird yeah here’s me connecting and connected to jay2 just fine. I just tried using the quick bar aka esc and FA servers connect to jay 1 and it auto downloaded cortex map. but now just stuck on the awaiting gamestate. 

 

 

this blows lol. 😭

The maps are downloaded from another server, but now we know that that part of the process is working.  This is another clue.

@RedBaird if that’s the case i wonder why it’s timing me out. but not prompting me with a time out error.

/Serverstatus shows your ping as 999, so I guess that that times you out, sort of, with a 'disconnected for unknown reason'.

 

I think that we have provided the Master ET Troubleshooters with as much information as we can for now.

@RedBaird  do we have the same PB version on both servers? I remember having this issue when PB was not updated client side

F|A does not use PunkBuster anymore.

 

DareDevil says that we can just uninstall it, but I sill have mine on.

@Milkis do you use proxy, vpn or something like that?

@rambozo37 no i’m on my home network by wire. no wifi. can’t be my connection cause everything works fine.

It is a mystery to be solved!    I just hope that our efforts provide someone with useful information.

When you open the game drop down the console and type this or put this in your cfg:

/pb_sv_enable

/pb_sv_guidauth 0

press enter then try to connect

 

might not work but it will eliminate the pb stuff

 

Then if it doesn't work remove your jaymod folder (put it somewhere else and keep it as backup). Then restart the game and try to connect

 

BTW did you download your game from our files here or on another website?

did you do

pb_sv_enable and pb_sv_guidauth 0 before trying to join the server?

 

look to me on your screenshot you did it while trying to connect

get to the command prompt (shortcut win+R) choose cmd and run this command:

tracert 8.9.4.227

post your results

 

we will see if your connection to the server is good
