I first thought that an "oobleck" might be related to a "sleestak"!  Sleestak4.thumb.jpg.aeda08c52639721a2eb8 @Sleestak

BTW, Mr. Slee, I came across a movie made in 2009, which the cable TV guide described as having "crazy-slow sleestaks" in it.  It is probably a move homage to your favorite TV series from back in your youth. :D

And I was thinking this might have something to to with oblique order

A military tactic where you place your armies against an opponent who spread their army evenly in such a way that 1 of the wings of your army is much much stronger than the rest of your army, and the rest only serves the purpose to withhold the enemy and make sure your main group doesnt get flanked, while your main group defeats the army infront of them, then they can start flanking the rest of the enemy

It was a tactic developed by the Greeks and was absolutely revolutionary at the time, unstopable for a while. It was even used by Napoleon in his coalition wars

I finally looked up the word = "Oobleck and other pressure-dependent substances (such as Silly Putty and quicksand) are not liquids such as water or oil. They are known as non-Newtonian fluids. This substance's funny name comes from a Dr. Seuss book called Bartholomew and the Oobleck.May 2, 2011 "

Yes, a mixture of corn-starch and water would be like that.  :)

Now I have to look up "oblique oobleck"! :o  Come to think of it, squeezing that oobleck would seem to imitate an oblique maneuver! :D

I havent had this in my hand yet, would be interesting :D

If you put pressure on it, squeeze it, hit it, etc, it gets hard like it was a solid. If you let it be, it gets liquid and just flows downwards. Oh and now it suddenly sounds like a metaphor for something :D
