  1. Ah I see.. Ok. Yea I probley should uninstall Punkbuster. I haven't even tried to connect to any server on the old COD. I still have yet to fix the United Offensive Disk that won't install for some reason. Thanks for the answer, glad to know it don't affect anything.
  2. Huh, well the installer I got form this website installs Punkbuster.. I had no clue you can go ahead and uninstall it. Or maybe one of the older games installed it. I do play some old games like the first Call of Duty.. Either way, I just want to know if other people get this message, and if they found a fix for it. Not like its a bad thing as it don't affect my game at all, as far as I can tell. Just annoying to see it come up in the console every now and then, and in the in-game messages.
  3. As the Title says, cept.. it don't really affect me. I never got kicked for it, nor does the game freeze. I once had this issue before, but it went away.. Ofc, that was a long time ago... Back when BBA still had a rocking 64 player server. But anyhow, I just wanna know what is causing it. And btw, I do use configs. I tried running the game stock with just my name changed, and My res set to 1080p... (otherwise my secondary monitor will freak out...) I tried searching to see if someone asked about this but, didn't find anything. I'm starting to think its just a Punkbuster thing since Punkbuster support is officially dead for W:ET. I used the Installer and Community Patch that is hosted on this site. It's just odd that it pops up at random.. perhaps about after 30 or so mins, either sitting in spec, or playing. Anyone have a clue whats going on here?
  4. Right, I keep forgetting to do this so... Here is my build now. It's already been built and is running flawlessly. I had to order a DVI Duel Link Cable to get the 144hz that my monitor was suppose to have. I had it hooked up via High-Speed HDMI, thinking it would go up to 144hz, but sadly, it was capped to 60hz. So yea.. Anyhow, here is the Final List. Only a few I had issues with. Such like Oblivion. I can get good fps in most areas like the Jail at the start but.. Soon as I walk outside, and near grass, the fps tanks... But I never really got into that game. I also tried streaming once, its on my Youtube channel, so far it handles it pretty well. Here is a link to it. Anyhow, I can't modify the First post in this thread for whatever reason. Never did Encounter a Board where it didn't let me modify the first post.. so yea.. There ya go
  5. So... I assume nobody lies it as much as I? I mean... back when I found Skulltag and Zdaemon, it was going off like mad. Ofc, this was all back in 2006. Nowadays its kinda bleh... What with all the new games coming out and junk. But yea, there is still a ton of Doom Mods to keep ya busy. Most of which are like Total Conversions that pretty much make it like Shadow Warrior and such. It's pretty nice what they are able to do with Doom nowadays. Anyhow, was just wondering if anyone is into Doom as much as me.
  6. Just wondering if anyone out there is as a Retro Gamer as I am. Since I am in the process of getting my new PC set up, I was curious to see if anyone still plays Doom, Doom2, TNT, Pluntonia, Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstien.. But mostly Focused on Doom as the topic implies. There are 3 main Doom Ports, which are still somewhat alive. Zandronum (prev. Skulltag) is the first one I found along the early years of the interwebs. Zandronum is a fun Doom Port, online and offline. There is a million Doom Mods that are compatible with it. And there are people who play them daily. There is Friday Night Fragfests, where a Server is dedicated to a specific Doom Mod and Gamemode, and people gather at a specific time to play it. There's also Saturday Frag Fests, which is pretty much the same thing. Granted Doom Ports are not just "Download and Play", you are required to have your own Doom.wad or Doom2.wad. I can help ya get set up if you like. There is two other ports, Zdaemon, and Odamex. Though it seems those two have been somewhat quiet. Least I don't hang out in Zdaemon much anymore. Odamex is.. well, it has some neat ideas, but for whateva reason, nobody plays it online. So yea, just wondering if you all that own Doom would like to check it out. Here is a link to Zandronum, Here is a link to Zdaemon, and Here is a link to Odamex. Im pretty sure you can search youtube for videos of the port and doom mods. It's just that most die-hard fans pretty much stopped playing doom and went on to other games, but hey, doom is always fun to come back to.
  7. Lol, I don't plan on streaming "Buttnite" as some people call it or PUBG. However, It did take me flippin forever to figure out how to connect everything. I just now got it to boot up. So there is life. Now I just need to grab a Win10 Key since I already got the USB Win10 Installer thingy. I also need to update my pcpartpicker list. So yea.. im happy... Now I need to clean up lol.. such a mess while trying to get this thing working heh.
  8. Well, I already posted in teh OP what I wanted to do, which is to get back into the PC Gaming Scene and Stream on Twitch on the side. I already bought the parts, since teh $$$ came in, just have to wait till it gets here. I had a make a few adjustments simply because of some things not being on Amazon, and some of the listed items were only on sites like Wal-Mart and such. If I get around to it, I will update the list I have on PCPartPicker. So I hope it all goes well, and everything works. I also hope I can get a W10 Key soon.
  9. I figured out that I can just download windows 10 to a USB flash drive and get a key for cheap. Yeah I need both SSD and hard drive. Hard drive for strorge and SSD for the OS. Optical drive for the older games I have. I plan on making isos out of them since it seems every CD drive I had in the past they always tend to bug out like the one on my laptop.
  10. Sorry for not responding. Work got in the way. That and some other stuff. Anyhow, I did some tweaking again. And well, I was split between the Intel build and AMD. I decided I am going with the AMD Build. Everyone has different opinions like... Intel is better but eh. Anyhow, here is what I have now.. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz 8-Core Processor ($319.79 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: ASRock - X470 Master SLI/AC ATX AM4 Motherboard ($140.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($179.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Crucial - MX500 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($64.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($57.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI - Radeon RX 580 8GB ARMOR MK2 OC Video Card ($274.00 @ B&H) Case: Deepcool - TESSERACT SW RED ATX Mid Tower Case ($32.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($76.95 @ B&H) Optical Drive: Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($18.59 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Corsair - Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (2-Pack) 62.7 CFM 120mm Fans ($25.99 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Sceptre - E225W-1920 22.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor ($84.99 @ Walmart) Monitor: LG - 25UM58-P 25.0" 2560x1080 60Hz Monitor ($149.00 @ Amazon) Total: $1426.06 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-07-28 09:08 EDT-0400 I plan on getting the Mouse, Keyboard, and possibly Speakers. Not sure if I will need them, since I do live in an Apt, so I doubt I will get them loud enough anyhow. Also, wanting to get an El Gato, since I still have my PS3, and PS4. (no Xbox, I'm sure someone will yell at me for that heh) But yea, this should be good. I can always upgrade later. It's just money is really the issue.
  11. Alright, well I am having a hard time trying to pick the right ram, now that you said all that. So... 3600mhz is the top for Trident Z RGB.. Should I get that? and if you are gonna recommend any parts, point it to PartPicker, unless its not listed there and/or cheaper. Still trying to keep a budget.. And every bit of it counts atm. Also Noob question. Is the Speed the same as MHz? I have been out of the PC Part game in a long time, so I am still learning here all the new stuff.
  12. Eh well, I got rid of the BD Drive and decided on just a normal DVD/CD Drive. Also, went with 2 monitors... Though I bet you guys will recommend better ones. Remember, I still have a Budget to keep. Anyhow, here is what I have now. I ditched the Intel/Nvidia route for now. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz 8-Core Processor ($319.79 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: ASRock - X470 Master SLI/AC ATX AM4 Motherboard ($143.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($167.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital - Green 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($45.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($57.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI - Radeon RX 580 8GB ARMOR MK2 OC Video Card ($274.00 @ B&H) Case: Deepcool - TESSERACT SW RED ATX Mid Tower Case ($32.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($74.99 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($18.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case Fan: Corsair - Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (2-Pack) 62.7 CFM 120mm Fans ($25.99 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Sceptre - E205W-1600 20.0" 1600x900 60Hz Monitor ($66.49 @ Amazon) Monitor: LG - 25UM58-P 25.0" 2560x1080 60Hz Monitor ($156.89 @ OutletPC) Total: $1386.07 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-07-20 05:35 EDT-0400 So yea.. I hope this is good enough. Been reading on some Completed Builds with similer hardware. One guy said that he can stream just fine while playing games, others say that some games you have to turn some of the settings down. If only I had a bit more budget, I could go Crossfire, which I assume is the same thing as SLI.
  13. Welp, I know i7's are outdated by now, but it fits my budget. i9's are too much. At least on PCPartPicker. Not sure if there is anything cheaper on there. Anyhow, are games still being installed by Blu-Ray? That's the only reason why I want it, otherwise, I can settle with just a DVD/CD Drive. As I stated before, I still have some old games on Disk that I would like to install and Stream. Also, I may be going with an AMD Build now. Seems cheaper then Intel/NVidia. But I still want to know if its even worth it nowadays to even have a Blu-Ray Player. I'm still playing around with my options so I will post the Build later.
  14. Alright well, I made a few changes. About the CPU Cooler... I know its normally not above 95F in Alaska, but it does tend to be at least, 80 or so in my Apt from time to time. I have no AC in my apt, just a heater. Even with the windows open, it does get hot in here. So I might have to keep it.. maybe just get a smaller fan? I dunno. I guess it would all depend on how things would fit since I have a small case to deal with.. I can probley pay a bit more for a bigger case.. Not sure if the Compatibiliy Filter on PCPartPicker takes in account the space inside the Case when everything is set in place. I remember the last PC I had it was a Micro ATX I think. So without Further adue... I'm not sure that one link is reliable. Seeing as its just a CD Key, that means I have to obtain a copy of Windows 10 in some way... I would like to have a CD Drive as well because I still have some old PC games that I would like to play and Stream on Twitch. I had a ton of PC games but sadly, most of them got lost over the years. Anyhow, thanks for the suggestions. I hope this setup is better.
  15. Wish I could but I am trying to keep it low. Possibly as much as it is now. As I stated before, I have no clue exactly how much I'm getting ATM. Maybe later on down the road, I will upgrade.
