I tried a new cfg and its still doing the same my connection lights are still on but still gives me connection problem message.my signal is 100% and is very good until i start playing et my ping is at 180 >220. i have not been playing much et because of this. the lag can happen about 10>20 times in 1 map and i lose connection totally every 3 maps.hope this issue gets sorted soon because am missing my et Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I only play on servers where my Ping is below 100, which is why I stay on Hardcore where it remains under 50, Pub 100, Jaymod 150-200. NoGooD Posted August 3, 2010 Share Posted August 3, 2010 Damn, incoming beat me to it. Yeah..wireless is not the way to go. For instance, if someone turns on a microwave and your router uses a certain spectrum of the wireless G band...your connection will either lag or drop. I've heard similar stories with people running vacuums. If you want the most reliable connect, you need to wire up. Also instead of turning your firewall off, try setting it up to port foward certain applications like ET, vent, xfire, etc. That way your still solid when you play, but you don't get the lag issue. Mycrofte Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 I have been lagging badly too. According to the menu, I start with a ping of 1. But once I am into the game it lags a lot. I re-installed ET up to the 2.60b since I was running 2.55 before. Didn't make any difference. I've cut down the splash and effects but didn't help either.
