announcer voice cause lags

Question

I receive huge lag spikes whenever the announcer in-game says something, like "dynamite defused", "captured the forward bunker", "firing-for-effect" etc.

what are your com_hunkMegs and com_soundmegs values?

 

seta com_hunkMegs "256"

seta com_soundMegs "96"

hmm... seems enough, so my guess was maybe wrong (but I have com_soundmegs 128)...

 

while playing you can type

/s_list

to see how much sound memory is allocated, and which sounds are loaded. if you see it's almost full, raise com_soundmegs

 

do you have that lag only for those sounds you mentioned?

Under 3D Settings -> Manage 3D settings -> Program settings, for WolfET, turn "Threaded Optimization" off (in lieu of On or Auto).

It seems to be solved, "threaded optimization" was off but I turned it again off.
