During these last 4/5 months, high admins of Jay 3 (Beginners #1) have received a lot of complains about the use poison knives abusively - which seems recently to have a big impact on the usual gameplay we had few months ago. To resume it : when you are hit by a launched knife you will be poisoned and wait your death patiently, unless if you can be healed by another medic (no self heal) or by any ammo pack in cabinet. Each player has 5 poison knives at spawn, but ammo can be dispensed at the infinite by cabinet/field op, or so on. Long time ago, just few players were playing "poison knives" , so it was a weapon like others. but last months, more (and more) players playing with it, and now the server is splitted in two worlds : Dark side and... no joke -> knives players / anti-knives players... Recently It is too much knives everywhere (I have to recognize it - it is sometimes constant knive wars) and we can read too much complains. I have been asked by part of regulars/admins/applicants to open this topic publicly to talk about it. In my opinion, but this is only my own mind : we should keep poison knives, but limit it to 1 knive per spawn - to avoid any abuse of it. I am not for self healing, because it will be beneficial only for the medic class. I believe that every weapon is nice but if a weapon alters the game because of abuse, we sometimes have to put some limit them (as we had limited classes / heavy wepons on servers) The goal of this post is not necessary to remove them, but to have a mature discussion to sastisfy all players as best as possible (which is almost impossible, but it is worth a try) and reduce the quantity of complains. Opened only for constructive posts

Hello people, so as we all who play on begginers#2 know , settings are at the moment 17 bot's each team. There are those who like it, and yet there are players/regulars who often ask can we kick bot's. So to try to comply everyone, you all can add your vote in this poll I made. Also I would like to ask my fellow members/admins/regulars who see this to pass the word on server that there is poll in progress, so each of our players from beginners#2 can participate and give his vote. Also anyone can give his opinion, or suggestion, but keep in mind that there are players who come just to have fun with bots, but also those who don't like it, so please no excesive suggestions like "kick all bot's" or similair. I will leave poll open for 7 days, till January 13th, to give time for those new regulars who are maybe not yet registred to do so and participate. So please pass on the word on server to others. Respect, best regards xP.Bo0m

Dear ET members, players of Jaymod #2. Since a lot of players have been complaining arguing about the issue of throwing poison knives. I have decided to make a poll. I'm aware certain servers of =F|A= do not have poison added on the knives. However jaymod 2 does. In many cases it is annoying and frustrating. The speed advantage of a throwing knive added with poison to keep it simple: possibly overpowered Some of you like it, that's why i'm opening this democratic solution. You can pass your wheter you'd like to have poison or to get rid of it. This poss is not only for our clan-members, Von Rantala and myself thought it would be better our regulars could pass a vote themself. You can pass on your vote and add why you would like to have poison or to change it and get rid of it. The more opinions, the better. Kind regards, Reverze

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) was named the winner of the Illinois Straw Poll on Saturday as the state’s Republicans showed their preference for their party’s presidential nomination to oppose President Barack Obama. "I congratulate Congressman Paul on his victory," Illinois GOP Chairman Pat Brady said. "It is clear Illinois Republicans are gearing up for a tremendous year in 2012." Paul took 52 percent of the votes cast both online since Oct. 29 and in person Saturday in 20 locations throughout the state, including the Lemont Township Center . Georgia businessman Herman Cain was second (18 percent), former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney third (14 percent), and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich fourth (9 percent). Far behind were Texas Gov. Rick Perry (2.5 percent), former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman (1.5 percent), former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (1.1 percent). The Illinois Straw Poll was originally the idea of U.S. Senate Mark Kirk, Highland Park Patch reports. Kirk originally announced the plan Feb. 6 in an effort to give Illinois Republicans a greater voice in the presidential nominating process. “Illinois can play a role in the presidential selection process with this straw poll,” Kirk told Patch Saturday at the Wheeling Township Republican Headquarters in Arlington Heights. In Lemont, the straw poll saw support Saturday from the likes of Kirk, Congresswoman Judy Biggert, State Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno, Asst. House Republican Leader Jim Durkin, Cook County Commissioner Liz Gorman and Illinois GOP Chairman Pat Brady. "This poll is really an opportunity for Illinois voters to have a voice in this presidential election, which is great because there's a lot of interest and excitement right now both nationally and locally," said Sig Vaznelis, chairman of the Cook County Republican Party. The Illinois GOP charged voters $5 to participate in the straw poll in order "to help the defray costs." Because Illinois does not have party registration, the Illinois Republican Party said that requiring a contribution would "help limit the straw poll to committed Republicans who are legally qualified to vote." Vaznelis said the money raised through the straw poll will go to the Illinois GOP, which will distribute the money to county Republican groups across the state. "The money will be used to get the vote out next year," Vaznelis said. "There's a perception that this state is totally blue, but we feel that Illinois is in play." Source: LemontPatch
