EA Access and Origin Access members will soon have a new game to play. EA Sports announced today that FIFA 16, the latest entry in the blockbuster series, will join both program's lineup of free games starting April 19. FIFA 16 joins FIFA 14 and FIFA 15 on Xbox One's EA Access, while PC's Origin Access already has FIFA 15 in its library. All games in the EA Access/Origin Access "Vault" are free for subscribers for as long as their subscription remains active. These are the full, unrestricted versions of the games. There is no set schedule for when new games will arrive, but EA has pledged never to remove any of them. The full lineup of free EA Access and Origin Access games is available below. Subscriptions go for $5/month or $30/year. In addition to free games, other benefits include five-day early access to upcoming EA games and a 10 percent discount on all EA digital content. EA Access is not available on PlayStation 4 because Sony thinks it does not represent a good enough value for its users. It's still possible the service could come to Sony's system, but no announcements have been made. The next "On the House" game for EA's Origin PC game store has been revealed. The new freebie is World War II shooter Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, which was originally released in 2004. It currently sells for $10, but when it's added to the On the House hub sometime "soon" it can be yours at no charge. Pacific Assault will replace Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which was free starting in February up until this week. On the House offers one free game at a time, but there is no set schedule for when new titles will replace the existing ones. Most Wanted is no longer available through the program and Pacific Assault has not been added yet. It should be coming soon, according to EA. We will let you know when it arrives. While On the House titles are completely free for all Origin users, gamers can also pay $5/month for an Origin Access subscription to get a library of free games (among other perks). The lineup of games in "The Vault" grows on March 22 when Titanfall is released into the library. GameSpot's Pacific Assault review scored the game an 8.3/10. "It can be difficult to reconcile how, exactly, such a grim event as World War II could become the context for a fun-filled action game, but it's once again made for an exciting experience in Medal of Honor Pacific Assault," reviewer Greg Kasavin said back in 2004. After 2012's Medal of Honor Warfighter came up short, EA put the series on hiatus. No new entries in the shooter franchise have been announced, though EA still retains the rights to make more games in the future. Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline will be the next major title to land up in the EA Access Vault when October rolls around. This is according to an image that surfaced on Reddit from a user who received the notification on EA Access. While it’s expected that subscribers will still need to purchase DLC separately, especially since all the packs haven’t been released yet, they’ll still get the single-player and multiplayer modes in the base game. EA Access’s Vault features a collection of high profile titles like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Titanfall and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare which players can enjoy for indefinite amounts of time if they pay $5 per month or $30 per year. It also offers discounts on digital content and provides early access trials of upcoming games. Not a bad deal overall, though it’s currently exclusive to Xbox One. Source http://gamingbolt.com/

EA has announced that it will be removing the ability to directly trade with players in FIFA 15 Ultimate Team to help combat coin sellers. Trade offers basically allow players to offer either players or coins to another player without having to go through the normal auction process. “We’ll be removing Trade Offers from FIFA 15 Ultimate Team,” community manager Rob Hodson wrote. “Although some honest players used this feature to trade with friends, it became one of the methods used by coin sellers to sell and move coins. Account phishers also abused Trade Offers by moving stolen players and coins after wrongfully gaining access to unsuspecting FUT player accounts. “This will also address “bid bumping”, where people would try and trick others into bidding far more than they wanted for a player item. It was a tough decision, but this is the right step towards improving security, showing cheaters the red card, and keeping FUT safe for all FIFA fans.” As well as this, the maximum amount of items that players can bid on at once will be set to a maximum of 50. It will be lower at first, but can be upped to 50 with unlockable boosts. FIFA 15 is set to launch September 23 in North America and September 26 in Europe for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

EA denies spying on Battlefield 3 Origin users EA has refuted claims from German gamers that download service Origin - required to play Battlefield 3 on PC - spies on users' computer activity and could potentially break the country's privacy laws. German Origin users reacted in anger after images surfaced online appearing to show the service accessing external programs and data synced from mobile phones. Additionally, the Spiegel newspaper printed a list of items from Origin's license agreement it reported could violate German privacy law. Those items included the right for EA to access other EA products without notifying the user, plus the right for EA and unnamed "partners" to "gather, use, store and transmit technical and related information" on "IP addresses, usage data, software, equipment, software usage and existing hardware peripherals" according to the terms of use and for "marketing purposes". German Battlefield 3 gamers have responded by returning shop-bought copies of the game and bombing Battlefield 3's Amazon.de user rating, reducing it to one of the worst on the site. Unusually, German retailers Media Markt and Saturn took the step of refunding used editions of Battlefield 3, even after their PC keys had been redeemed. EA Germany has now updated Origin's terms of service in response to the furore and issued a statement denying its software was spyware. "We have updated the End User License Agreement of Origin, in the interests of our players to create more clarity," EA Germany announced in a statement yesterday. "Origin is not spyware. Neither do we use nor install spyware on the PCs of users. "We do not have access to information such as pictures, documents or personal data, which have nothing to do with the execution of the Origin program on the system of the player, neither will they be collected by us. "EA takes the privacy of its users very seriously. We have taken every precaution to protect the personal and anonymous user data collected." Origin's license agreement matches "industry-standard privacy policies", EA stressed. But "where necessary, we will of course work together with the relevant Government agencies to ensure that our policies are and remain legally compliant." Source DJ Thanks to Schlumpfine for the tip
