Tonight I sign-in to Fearless Assassins server and receive message of a bad ui. I am not overly savvy but retry my connection because sometimes things go weird in ET and retrying resolves access to a server. This time I get a ban for using a VPN until 12/2020. 12/2020 lmao. The message states VPN NOT ALLOWED-333. This is humorous to me. I've been using a VPN and have had not one problem playing on FA servers for years. Whatever. Just pissed. Maybe state that in your server rules for ET players. Maybe understand not all VPN users are cheaters. Maybe quit being so sensitive. I won't turn my VPN off for your servers but I digress. If this is the end of ET for me because I use a VPN then so be it.

Members of China's two million strong army are banned from wearing unauthorised tech while on duty China has forbidden its armed forces from wearing internet-connected wearable tech, according to reports. The People's Liberation Army Daily, the Chinese military's official newspaper, said security concerns had been raised after one recruit had received a smartwatch as a birthday gift. News site NBC said its sources had confirmed a ban was now in place. One expert said the move was a natural extension of restrictions already placed by most armies on mobile phones. The PLA Daily said army leaders had sought the advice of experts last month after being alerted to an incident in which a soldier had tried to use a smartwatch to take a photo of his comrades stationed at the eastern city of Nanjing. It said the country's agency responsible for protecting state secrets subsequently issued the following decree: "The use of wearables with internet access, location information, and voice-calling functions should be considered a violation of confidential regulations when used by military personnel." The newspaper reported that teaching materials and warning signs had subsequently been created to ensure that the message was spread among military personnel. "The moment a soldier puts on a device that can record high-definition audio and video, take photos, and process and transmit data, it's very possible for him or her to be tracked or to reveal military secrets," it added. A spokeswoman from the UK's Ministry of Defence was unable to provide a statement about its own rules. But one expert suggested that other armed forces were likely to adopt similar rules. "Any self-aware organisation will have measures for operational security," said Peter Quentin, a research fellow at the British defence think tank Rusi. "Anything that is networked - whether it is in your pocket or on your wrist - can be remotely accessed and exploited by others to provide an advantage to adversaries. "That can happen inadvertently or be done deliberately, so it needs to be controlled wherever possible. Taobao Smartwatches are proving to be popular gifts in China "It's why you already see leaving of phones outside of areas where sensitive discussions take place." He added, however, that there could sometimes be benefits from letting soldiers use wearable tech beyond battlefield duties. Mr Quentin highlighted the case of Our War, a BBC Three documentary series that made use of footage filmed by British troops who had fitted small video cameras to their helmets. Officials had initially tried to clamp down on the troops' personal use of the kit before it became apparent that the resulting video was useful. "It helped the Army communicate the realities of the operations in Afghanistan through the soldiers' own eyes, which was very powerful," Mr Quentin said. Source:http://www.bbc.com/

We're all used to skipping right through end-user license agreements (EULA) when we install new games, but you should take a moment to read Killing Floor 2's EULA, especially if you're planning on being a jerk in the game. In part six, titled "Cheats, Cheating and Abusive Behaviors," developer Tripwire Interactive says it reserves the right to ban cheaters, and anyone who behaves in a way it finds detrimental to other players. "This includes, but is not limited to, 'griefing', racist bigotry, sexism or any other forms of 'cyber bullying,'" the EULA reads. "We will also not tolerate anyone hosting servers for the game where such behaviors are continually or repeatedly allowed to take place. "If we find you are a Cheater or Abusive, we will revoke your CD key and ban you from the KF2 servers and tell your mom! Your license will automatically terminate, without notice, and you will have no right to play KF2 or any KF2 Mods against other players or make any other use of KF2. End of story." In short, Tripwire expects you to play nice, or else. Some players complained that Tripwire shouldn't reserve the right to ban players for this type of behavior, but the developer explained that this decision will not effect "99.999%" of the population. "It's there so that, if at some point in the future, some individual gets utterly out of control and is being abusive to enough thousands of people to come to our attention - we can actually take action," Tripwire said. Killing Floor 2 hit Steam Early Access on April 21, and is slated for a final release on PC and PlayStation 4 in 2015. Source:Gamespot

So here we go. The word on the street is that the team Joe Biden is spearheading has agreed to bring Obama ideas on using executive orders to curb mass shootings with assault rifles. Not mass killings... mass shootings with assault rifles. http://www.cnn.com/2...control-battle/ What this means essentially is that nowadays the government of the U.S. thinks for some reason we work for them instead of the other way around. The 2nd Amendment is there so we can protect our homes and families. And also to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. It is stated very clearly in our Constitution that this right in particular "Shall not be infringed." And what that means is the government has no authority to control or regulate our firearms in any way. The same government who flouridates the U.S. drinking water are the same guys that worry for your safety because there are Americans with weapons everywhere? Hard to believe. It's actually unbelievable. The same government who started a war in the middle east that's killed thousands and thousands of people over 10 years now are the same who are compassionate? Give me a break. There's one reason for trying to take our rights away. And that is Tyranny. Tyranny leads to oppression. And that's how dictators are made (dictatorships aren't always just one person). I hope that if this is the route that they're going to try and take with us... that they are prepared to be shown that the American people will surely be underestimated because we are armed millions strong. Let them come and try to take them from us.

Apple faces ban on iPhone and iPad sales A German court has issued an injunction that temporarily bans Apple Inc. from selling or marketing its mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads in Germany. But it’s unclear whether it will have an immediate effect on the company. In a statement to the tech blog theverge.com, Apple said that the ruling, issued on Friday by a court in Mannheim, was simply a “procedural issue,” that “does not affect our ability to sell products or do business in Germany at this time.” The court made the default decision after Apple did not attempt to debunk Motorola's patent infringement claims. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment by The Local and Apple’s internet store in Germany was still selling its products on Monday. The ruling stems from a long-running patent dispute between Apple and Motorola over mobile technology. Apple has been aggressively defending its technology, even succeeding in having some competing Android devices temporarily banned in Germany earlier this year. Motorola is currently in the process of being purchased by Google, which makes the Android operating system. But a ban in Germany, which is Europe’s biggest electronics market, could be devastating for the company, especially if it is accused of violating the ruling which could result in fines of €250,000 per violation. It is not yet clear, however, whether the ruling applies directly to Apple Germany, which is a subsidiary of Apple Inc., and commentators were offering different viewpoints on its effect Monday. Nilay Patel of theverge.com called it a “totally symbolic victory for Motorola” because the ruling doesn’t mention Apple Germany. But intellectual property analyst Florian Mueller wrote on his blog FOSS Patents that the real question is whether the parent company would legally be able to provide product to its subsidiary. If deliveries are blocked, it could make it impossible for devices to be sold in Germany in any event. The law firm Scherer & Körbes wrote on its blog that under the terms of the ruling supplies could “probably be prohibited.” But Apple remains free to appeal to ruling. Source DJ
