Godless Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I figured I'd go ahead and post some pics of my new cat, the thing that is making it nearly impossible to play at times. So, without further ado I'd like to introduce Tyrion! Pro gamer Tyrion. He's in the zone. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=17537&id=100001209581370&saved#!/photo.php?pid=120722&id=100001209581370 Tyrion sleeping with one of our dogs, Gizmo http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=17537&id=100001209581370&saved#!/photo.php?pid=120721&id=100001209581370 This is the monkey-wrench in my current game, but you have to love him nonetheless. Ethan Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Where did you get the name Tyrion from? Btw, Your cat is SO cute Quote
Godless Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) Where did you get the name Tyrion from? Btw, Your cat is SO cute We named him after a character from George R. R. Martin's Song of Fire and Ice series, due to how he plays the dogs against one another. He likes to hide under the chair (it has frills) and ambush the dogs legs as they pass, then disappear back under. The dogs end up fighting with each other. *EDIT* Figured I'd add some background info to Tyrion. About two weeks ago, as I was walking up onto my porch from class (Major in graphic design) I hear this meow, and I look down to see a kitten on my porch. This kitten promptly starts trying to climb my leg. I put him down, and opened my screen door, at which point he walked up to my door and looked at me like "Go ahead, I'm coming in." We brought him in with the intention of trying to find his rightful home and if that didn't work out we were going to surrender him to a shelter. We have three dogs, and didn't feel that we could handle another animal financially. Well, he kind of grew on us during this time (we kept him in a very large doberman-sized kennel separated from our dogs and let him out for an hour or so in our comp room, away from the dogs), and after failing to find his home (we think he was dumped at this point) we decided to just adopt him. So we took him to the vet and got him his shots and check-up, and blew a sizable chunk of money on cat-things (Scratching post-condo of awesomeness, litter box, etc). He's settling into our house quite well, and gets along with the dogs great. Isabel, our smallest Pom, has basically taken to him like he was her baby. She's really protective of him, and follows him everywhere. It's cute. It probably wouldn't have worked out if he was a fully-grown cat, but being as he's only nine weeks old he's not set in his ways. Edited August 18, 2010 by Godless Quote

I have been reading that series since the begining of summer, I'm on the 3rd book. Tyrion definatly has to be one of my favourite characters. Its great to know I'm not the only one in F|A Who likes those books And thats awsome that your cat and dogs get along, I have two cats and they fight like crazy. Edited August 18, 2010 by Ethan Quote

milli vanilli Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 dude, mad props on the stray/dumped animal adoption Quote
Godless Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 dude, mad props on the stray/dumped animal adoption Thanks, man. I don't honestly understand how people can just dump an animal to die, and it would die in short order down here due to the heat and humidity. We did right by the little man, though, and now we have quite a colorful new addition to the home. Quote

We did pretty much the same thing, except it was from the guy contacting the construction of our house, cuz his wife is allergic to cats. They found her in the forest and took her in. yes she looked cute at first and playful. (Oh, And for awhile until we got her to the vet, we thought she was a boy, everyone cept my cousin LOL) Im now her favorite person in the house i think. Shes a DEVIL. You pet her anywhere but her head for too long, she bites you. She scratches me to hell. She tormets out fattest cat for no reason. Basically, shes a b***. Quote
milli vanilli Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Two of the best animals i ever had were both dumps. One was a kitten we found in the neighborhood, the other was a puppy we found out in the woods. both were super friendly animals. unfortunatley the wife won't let me adopt any til we get a new house, lol Quote
