iso Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Introduction I am going to run a tournament for Jaymod, Noqquarter and Etpub players from all areas of ET on the patch 2.60b in an attempt to try and attract more players to competition level in ET. The tournament will last 10 days and will be played in knockout style rounds with a loserbracket (a losebracket is to give a team that has be knocked out from the main bracket to redeem themselves). If this tournament is a success then i will consider running a variety of tournaments in the future. As i said the tournament will last for 10 days hopefully, it is rather shorter than a normal tournament so the players keep their motivation to play at their best. Schedule The matches will take place on either one of my 12 slot servers (both uk hosted). Matches will take place between 18.00CET and 22.00CET, for example. team a vs team b - Server 1 - 18.00-20.00 team c vs team d - Server 2 - 18.00-20.00 team e vs team f - Server 1 - 20.00-22.00 team g vs team h - Server 2 - 20.00-22.00 This means there will be 4 matches every night, although match times can be changed if there are problems and both teams agree. Matches are two hours because of the chance that there will be a tie break. Signups close: 20th August at 22:00CET Tournament Start: 22nd August Tournament Ends: 2nd September Format The match type is 5on5 which is the most common in competition right now and the servers will be using the scnopb5 configs with the latest match rules. Maps Maplist - Supply, sp_delivery_te, Radar, Adlernest and Frostbite Rules Most of the rules are covered in the configs but the main rule of course is no cheating. Signup When signing up, please make sure that you have at least 5 members as it is 5on5 and also please make sure you have ET 2.60b and the maps in the maplist. Also I dont see why players should be force to dl SLAC, which hasnt been whitelisted yet if they dont feel comfortable in trusting chaplja (this is IF you use torm's idea).

Pro*tOrMeNtIuM Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 @oli: well sign up b4 20th this month, tournament says starts on 22 but depending on when u play u can resquedule the match talking to ur opponent team., thast what we gonna do too. @h&h : try @silver : nah i dont think they will put that in gamestv, but thast always desition of both teams playing so if both teams want, u get gtv if not well not , there still record demo rule, and a refree per match i guess to watch, try to get ur teams togheter, most clans i poisted have more than enough members to do it. cya torm.

Trustworthy, RITE? Also, iso has 8 friends on XFire, one post made on the forums, and no additional info at all. Hey guys lets set up a tournament knowing nothing about the person who is making it or where he's from. If i had to guess, he's some "professional" player from 2.55 ETPro rejected by 2.60b TWL admins and on the PBBans list looking to make a name for himself throughout non-ETPro mods. But if it does check out as good, I'm down if anyone wants to pick me up for a few games(no mic :'()

dedz Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 No, it was EscobarX. |CoL|, etc. got raged one day and bought palehook, ended up on one of killerboys lists, and eventually banned from NA comp(even though there wasnt much to be played). I'm not calling you a cheater, im calling you a busted cheater. How are those 2 aliases on the top 5 splatterladder lists doing for you bro? Why are you so defensive for SLAC all of a sudden? I know SLAC is made by chaplja, a hacker/ hacks coder/ etc. That's enough to make me not want to try it.
