Administrators daredevil Posted August 14, 2010 Administrators Posted August 14, 2010 Even if we will get X7650 + Internap BW few people will still say they are lagging.. 64 separate execution units available for the operating system. Quote
detoren Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 server wont lag location location location ^^. Quote
Administrators daredevil Posted August 14, 2010 Author Administrators Posted August 14, 2010 server wont lag location location location ^^. That's why said Internap BW. Even if server is in US then US people will say server lags. Present Machine which we are using.. Quote
!Chuck4Abuck Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 i dont get any laggs , after i upgraded it to fibre everything when away i get a 76 to a 90 ping on hardcore being down here . Quote
Funksdead Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 There have been a lot of connection interrupts on the hardcore server, experienced in mass by all players, that I would be led to believe is a server issue. The only time I actually lag is when I am near a 400+ pinger... Quote

I was basically talking about players complaining they get uber less FPS or lag totally on F|A Hardcore & Etpub (W:ET) servers. I thought network issues where fixed? Do you still experience it? Quote

TDM Killbox has been lagging as well....lag spike once a while + everyone's ping goes up to 999(4 times already just today) Quote

Seems better than last week but yesterday twice, hardcore server, a couple long connection interrupts maybe 5-10 seconds long. Long enuff for everybody to go "what the hell was that"...but overall seems better than it was last week. Quote
NoGooD Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Even if we will get X7650 + Internap BW few people will still say they are lagging.. 64 separate execution units available for the operating system. lol. With some of the players in ET, the server could be at their feet and they would yell "lag" for every death. Even with your tutorial Dare, I don't think some people understand that the "lag" they experience is more to do with their PIII, 128mb RAM, 32mb video card and 20gig HDD that has 2mb left, rather than the server causing their ping to "jump" to 78 btw...what in the hell are you going to to with 64 execution units? Maybe use them all to pay the bills since bit-tech is saying it uses +600 watts at idle. lol. Quote

Processor upfront cost is 4K$ + mobo + RAM, etc. I guess with that total cost to just make machine would be like 10K. I would be better buying new stuff for myself rather then buying that Processor = 4K$ Mobo = 2K$ RAM = 1K$ Case + fans + hardrive = 1-2K$ Windows 2008 R2 = 2.6K$ +power +shipping + monthly expense + extra power usage $$ Too much My 8 Core windows Machine can handle 150-200 slots easily.
