lag help please.

Hey I seen a post that Daredevil posted about lag, and said to get the following information so here it is..

 

OS: windows 7 starter edition 32bit

RAM:1gb

Motherboard: [x] not sure its a netbook

CPU:intel atom cpu N270 @ 1.60 ghz

Hard drive (IDE, PATA, SATA, etc): i'm not sure if this is my hard drive but

Intel ICH7-M Family Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4 .. and i believe its IDE

Graphics card: Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family

Wifi: Realtek RTL8192E Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

Internet Speed: http://www.speedtest.net/result/899986391.png

Do you use router? : my netbook is connected to my home wireless router

--comcast cable.

Your location (country): USA

ET Version:n 2.6

Router (If you use any): comcast cable netgar router not sure what model

Which anti virus and firewall you use: AVG free edition lol

There's all the info, now can someone please tell me what i can do to fix my lag, eventhough I think it may be FPS lag.

LOL i cant change it.. its in my netbook..and i know.. and what atom cpus arent good? ive never even had a intel machine.. my build broke like 2 years ago, and thats why i quit et for awhile then i got a netbook, and figures might as well try.. but its sucks getting 7-14 fps lol.. anyways i hope to fix my build soon

Remove that AVG antivirus. AVG simply uses up your RAM. Use Antivir or avast. avast is especially good. Disable antivirus before playing.

 

Also just quit/end task all the internet applications you are using.

 

I think with 1.6 ghz processor and 945 chipset, you are getting horrible fps lag.

Yeah, that's what I usually do before playing, i usually use game booster, and end services I dont need running, and then run iolo memory mechanic to free up some RAM, but still ingame get around 7-14 fps.. sometimes even lower. and it honestly sucks lol

I typically get 7 to 20 FPS without it turned on, but with it on, I can usually pick up 150 FPS. Of course, I do have more of a powerhouse than your netbook, but it's still worth checking out. Or better yet, take a screenshot of your configuration in-game (System).

OpenGL Extenstions? what's that, a service? lol where can I find it?

Join ET server, Press ESC --> Options --> System --> GL Extension : Enabled

 

OR

 

Type this in console:

 

/r_allowExtensions 1

 

Then type:

 

/vid_restart
