Man do we even still have painters like that seems like the real artwork is dying out. A painting I like I got it as my background, really love the terror in the painting. Don;t think I will ever see it in RL because it is exhibited in Detriot, USA. Artist: Benjamin West Painted year: 1796 If your a christian you will probably already know what this painting is about. For the ones who don't know and like to know it i copied this from internet: West based this work on the Book of Revelation 6:8, in which the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse—Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence—ravage the earth. The biblical narrative of the painting was considered to be so complex that it was originally exhibited with an explanatory pamphlet, and even inspired a 114-page analysis by William Carey in 1836. Hitch Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Someone already posted mine which is the Nighthawks painting by Edward Hopper. But apart from that, anything produced by the Hudson River School is fantastic also. Those guys were absolute masters. Quote
