Armory6 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 So, I was on server number 2 with Redy and he somehow we got on the topic of mods, and I told him that there is a whole community of dedicated modders that have been creating awesome content for the game for quite some time now. This isn't really a tutorial as once you find the page, you will be able to do everything you need to install the mods by clicking a single button. Except for the total conversion mods, but I don't really mess with those. Step one is to go to the Insurgency game in your library and select it. You will see the menu that allows you to launch the game and see which of your friends play the game etc.... Step two is to scroll down till you see the Steam Workshop banner underneath the DLC section of the page. Select the Browse the Workshop button and BAM, you are transported to the land of magical unicorns that is the modding community for this game. Step three is to click on any mod you see that even remotely interests you and click on it. Once you get to the mod's page, scroll down to where it says "Subscribe to Download" Here is where it gets easy. Just click that little subscribe button, wait for your download to finish and then launch the game. Easy peezy lemon squeezy. All the necessary information will be in the section below the subscribe button, letting you know what mods are compatible with what, and if there are any additional steps to installing the mod. That's it, also, your game may be subject to more random crashes if you have over 50 mods installed like I do. Pics are of the in-game community mod page because I am have no earthly idea how to take a screenshot of my desktop.... Someone help me with that if you don't mind. 4 Quote

redfromsvn Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I really recommend the Project Reality sound mod. You can get it in one file or individual packs if you want to mix things up. 1 Quote
redfromsvn Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Also, when you're installing audio mods, you need to create an autoexec.cfg file in the insurgency2\insurgency\cfg folder and put the command snd_restart into it. Otherwise you have to type it in the console every time you start the game. Quote
Carbonautics Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 For Screenshots you can use a program named LightShot (credits : Shana) Link: https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html 2 Quote
Armory6 Posted August 9, 2017 Author Posted August 9, 2017 Thanks Carb. Also Shana. I'll look into that. Quote
