i need help on how to update RTCW ET, i currently have 2.60b RTCW ET, and i want to update it to the latest version, please help.

I directed you from Beg2 here. I thought you said you were running version 2.55 of ET. 2.6b is what you want.

ah, okay, but the problem with the game that i encountered is i kept getting kicked out/crashing from the server and on other servers it said it failed to download paks and stuff like that, what could be the problem?

Some solutions. 

 

Run et as administrator

 

Run pak3 cleaner

may have tmp files

 

turn on allow download

 

cl_allowDownload 1 // toggles downloading missing files from the server

 

If all else fails move reinstall ET and put it on the desktop then you can move it around to different folder
