Rod Steward : maybe we better also make a best pop singer section? Not that he will get very far there either

Jimi Jamison - Career wrapped around 1 song.  More Pop than Rock to begin with.

cut out Eddie Vedder. So I left the best of the ' grunge-bunch'  still here.

A lot to cut away still and it seems to get easier along the way. This whole thing is ofcourse way to biased and way to broad to begin with. It is all a matter of taste and knowledge... When you are young atm.. most hear rock-songs from games like GTA it seems. I get kids who are totally wild about Nirvana, but don't know who Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots wre for example. That will be the same for the bit older ones... like thinking Sammy Hagar was all about Van Halen :/ e.g. This is a bout rock singers, but half of it is pop. Also the other way around: why include Doro and not put in Till Lindeman? Or if pop and rock are mixed: where were Jon Bon Jovi or Fish? And where is Ozzy Osborne in all of this? As said... taste and knowledge (but also where u live e.g.). It would have been better to divide the stuff first.. like: rock of 70ties, 80 ties , 90 ties. I did not put him in.. but Steve Perry comparing to Rob Halford or Phil Anselmo is not possible. Are we taking in consideration only singing quality, or also influence on the genre, songwriting qualities, impact etc. Because maybe even Arnel Pineda is a way better singer then Steve ever was in Journey (ow.. I love Journey tbh). I for certain think Bon Scott is way more important in ACDC than Brian ever was. Also in defining rock music. Brian tried his whole carreer trying to sound like Bon.. lol

So conclusion: it is fun, but complicated. That is also a reason to hesitate joining a nice race for 50 greatest guitar players... who is to judge in that? Then a guitar player with a lot of make up on his face, who knows 2 tricks on the damned thing gets maybe more votes then a person like Joe Satriani ... because where is Satriani nowadays? Or Vai, or even Eddie. :). And in taste... is Dimebag comparable objectively with Santana or the way too much apreciated Clapton? I bet there will be no Berry to be found (too old) or Vaughan (too dead) . But maybe fun anyways :)

Sorry guys: Roger Daltrey has left the building. He went to the pop-section :)

Axl Rose. I just hate him. His voice breaks mirrors and ruins small children's lives

I think the latter is actually a good thing :D
