Update your Vid card drivers and if that doesnt help change your r_mode to 4. (In etconfig.cfg)

Well for downloading drivers you gotta look up on the graphics card manufacturer's website for them.

For the config file go to your Wolfenstein directory and then into etmain folder, you'll see etconfig.cfg file. Open it up with a notepad (or even better notepad++), find the line which looks like this:

seta r_mode "X"

where X is some number, so change it to 4 and save the file.

It should look like this:

seta r_mode "4"

Try starting ET and see if it works.

I got that error once before and the outdated drivers were the cause of it, tried running XP drivers on Win7.

How about drivers then? Also you never said what your OS was, maybe you have to run it in admin mode if you have Vista/Win7?
