Greetings, wow you were at the reactors... pretty crazy stuff!

Yeah, it was a crazy day.  I was only at the plant for two hours, but received about a week worth of radiation.  I was so sleepy the next day that I hardly had the energy to get up.  I've been there twice.  I was also in one of the restricted towns next to the plant for a few hours in which I also has a similar level of exposure.  Nothing to worry about, but enough to drain my energy the next day.

Here is a photo one of the AP photographers took of me at the plant.  Behind me is the fuel pool in reactor #4.  This building suffered structural damage due to an explosion, but the reactor and fuel pool were mostly intact.  A shell building was constructed around the old structure by the time of this photo, so it looks as if there is no damage.  Really quite impressive to see how they were able to get this much done.  The main issue now is still the cleanup of the site.  It's highly doubtful that Fukushima can be taken care of in my lifetime.  We are just one small disaster away from a far bigger one.  It's really quite a thought to know that our children born after this disaster will be the ones to inherit this monumental task.
