Insurgency Tutorial autoexec.cfg - looking for a few more FPS for Insurgency?

I have posted an updated tutorial here ~> to my tutorial..

 

> Open Insurgency's properties by right-clicking on its library listing in Steam and then clicking "Properties"

 

> Click on "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..."

 

> Enter:

+exec autoexec.cfg

 

*I cannot supply screenshots for the remainder of the steps because I use Linux*

> Create/Open a new text file with notepad (or some other text editor)

 

> Copy(ctrl+c) & paste(ctrl+v):

cl_forcepreload "1"

mat_queue_mode "1"

mat_reduceparticles "1"

r_shadowmaxrendered "20"

r_propsmaxdist "1000"

r_fastzreject "-1"

snd_mix_async "1"

 

> Save as

"autoexec.cfg" (change to "All files" instead of ".txt document")

into this directory ".../steam/steamapps/common/insurgency2/insurgency/cfg/"

 

> Launch Insurgency & witness a boost in your frames per second at the cost of lowering hardly noticeable options

What is "launch options" where i can find it? and when i copy and past all, is game automaticly recognising those new settings. I play lowest resolution and was able to connect server, but its lagging a lot because my pc is so old.

I use SteamOS/BPM, so I follow different steps to set launch options/properties. I plan to post screenshots soon..

I copy and added all the text in there.

 

I am totally lost and get super annoyed when i just dont get it. :/

Btw settings working well and no lags at all. Was easy and good to play. Thanks for tips.
