Leader RedBaird Posted September 28, 2015 Leader Posted September 28, 2015 When I was in the bush in Vietnam, I had an ant (I think it was) in my ear for a week, moving around and around. When I got home and told my Mother about it, she said had had one in her ear as a young girl. I think that a snot-sucker bulb, as used with young children, would work well for this problem. Just don't use it to suck too hard or it might damage the eardrum. Do you think that that guy would really have freaked out if somebody told him that maybe that bug laid eggs in his ear? 1 Quote

Leader RedBaird Posted September 28, 2015 Leader Posted September 28, 2015 Finally I'll give a proper use to my earmuffs. I just pictured you wearing earmuffs in the summer to avoid bugs-in-ears syndrome. Quote

docwarren Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Insect in the ear..... one of my favorites to see come rolling into the ER. Just fill the ear with mineral oil and pack it. Next daybug will be dead and a warm water slow flush out with a bulb syringe will clear it out. (disclaimer: This is not intended as medical advice. Just some old fashioned country remedy stuff. If this is a true emergency, hang up and call 911) 1 Quote
