Clan Friend SunLight Posted February 6, 2015 Clan Friend Posted February 6, 2015 Recently I listen (almost) only to Japanese music... if you don't like it then 2 bad ^^ I don't know what kind of music you like, but if you don't know them you could check Perfume (from 2007, I hope it's not 2 old... and I didn't find them 'recently', but I guess it doesn't matter ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVQ-B2Xejmk from this decade (2010) and discovered more or less recently (1 yr ago): Babymetal ^^ I went from 'wtf is this?' phase to semi-fanboy phase (after all even Moametal said she wants people to think 「なんじゃこりゃ」 (= wtf is this?) the first time they see them, and I did exactly the same) p.s. if you hate Japanese music ^^, a non-Japanese band I like I could suggest is Fiction Plane (the bass player is Sting's son, and that's how I got to know them) check them out. Zelly Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Thank you sunlight, I have always wanted to check out some of these, but didn't know where to begin. I think I will start by not watching videos first though. 1 Quote
Clan Friend SunLight Posted February 6, 2015 Clan Friend Posted February 6, 2015 I think I will start by not watching videos first though. both Babymetal and Perfume dance, so if you don't see em you lose half of the thing and as regards Babymetal in particular, I think live they are better than in their album, especially recently... like their latest live album live at Nippon Budoukan from 2014 anyway, I guess since you're an anime fan you know a lot of music from Japan already... another band I like (I prefer girl bands recently, for a change since I always listened to music played and sung by males) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZz05s5B4JE especially their earlier days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjKTu1uMwhc Quote
