Administrators daredevil Posted February 6, 2015 Author Administrators Share Posted February 6, 2015 DD, look at the BMW X5 with the 3.5 Diesel. I got one and love it, has all the bells and whistles and gets 35 MPG. Yeah, it costs a bit but it is AWD, good fuel mileage, and has a twin turbo in case you are in Europe on the autobahn and want to go about 140 MPH (governor kicks in at 140 for US specs, no governor on European specs). here is the site for building your own http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/Vehicles/2015/X5/xDrive35d/default.aspx?from=/Standard/Content/Vehicles/2015/X/X5xDrive35dRD.aspx&return=/Standard/Content/Vehicles/2015/X/X5xDrive35dRD.aspx Probably after 5 years or so... Cos next time I am going either with Lexus or Acura. By 5 yrs I would have appx 200-250k miles on this one. We'll there goes my 30k
Ol Smoke
Take it from me. I have owned over 80 cars and my son owns 4 car dealerships. For traction in all weather, and bad roads, can't beat the Subaru. That's why Volvo bought their AWD design. For lasting, zero maintenance problems, Subaru has one of the best records. Their engine is bullet proof. I owned a Subaru Justy and it passed chained up pickups on a 2' snow drifted road and never slipped a tire. It's one of only 2 cars that I wish I still had. I see more Subaru Legacy's on the road here, than any other car. Including the 1980 models. Buy it. The resale is awesome.

Have had experience with a little older ones. What would you like to know?
