I started noticing that having set my rate to 50k, and having maxpackets set at 100, the game was running smoother, and my accuracy was better. But I had to do this manually even though in my CFG it was already set with those values...

What I'm asking here is that can someone let me know where in my cfg is there an error in conflict in which that every time I vid_restart, or start a new game that all of a sudden my settings revert back to 34k rate, and 30maxpackets (I think I solved the maxpacket issue its back to 100 after changing prediction value to off in the Jaymod-Misc).

I still don't understand why my rate is always going back to 34k, and not 50k. I have to manually /seta rate 50000 every time my vid_restart or there is a new game on Jay1.

Thanks and please solve my dilemma anyone. I'm finally comfortable with my cfg.

Also if anyone wants to know i'm using O.S.X. 10.9.5. on my 13" Macbook Air Mid-2013 4gb ram. Mouse Logitech G402 (Mac Drivers currently Unavailable as of yet) So i'm using Steermouse 4.2 until Logitech creates a mac driver for the mouse.

:D

Do you have autoexec.cfg in your etmain? If yes then in that add exec goat.cfg

Hey thanks for the reply dare, I just renamed it to GOAT.cfg in case someone wanted to use my cfg also. This is my main autoexec I use exec on the class scripts I got from you years back Mr. Hellreturn, so I'm not a total noob in the cfg department I know how to do that.  :P

What I meant is that with this as my autoexec I think there is something conflicting in my script thats making me get set at default 34k rate on the jay mod server. Just curious, if anyone would know what it is, i'm totally fine with manually setting it up on my own every game though if that is what it would take. Thanks though.

The conflicting config is in jaymod\Profiles\(you)\etconfig.cfg

Do you connect using our menu? Say me yes and I think I know what is the reason for that :)

I guess the easiest way to deal with such problems is to reistall the game(or simply delete all configs in profile folders + etconfig + autoexec in etmain)

After you exec config with seta (set & archive) those settings will be stored in your cfg. so I guess in profile config you had some remains of old settings.

I was usually reainstalling et since I was writing new and new config, and every time I had my settings stored in profile etconfig.cfg. So If I wanted to test new ones I should reset cvars to default then try new config :)

bind F6 "exec goat.cfg; echo ^
bind F7 "vid_restart"
I find autoexecs faulty so I'm using those ^ two binds. as soon as they get stored in profile etconfig.cfg I can, after I connect to server, press f6 to exec my cfg and then f7 to vid restat, no need to type anything, and you're 100% sure that settings from your cfg were applied.

Ya I use the mod for F|A Jaymod... Ohhhh let me see I should change it within there? or Use the I.P. connect instead...

Th3ory I will try that after as a last resort that always makes the best sense when things are screwed up in ET. But i'm afraid because I'm using mac that my guid would be changed once again because I was using my old etkey and still had a new guid which confused me...  But if everything else is exhausted I will try that.

Going to give that a try!!!! I remember something about that now how rusty and silly I am.

Try to do this:

Start ET. Execute your config or you can execute your config from command line and then do \connect jay1.clan-fa.com

Then see if the rate which you set in your config is still effective or not.

*SOLVED* Deleted the shit out of all the profiles and mods through library and application support etlegacy. Restarted with my current config solved the problem.

Thanks To you all.

Thread can be closed, I'll leave this here for future mac osx people to use my config if they need. I should be finishing up my assignments but i'm a lazy fuk, ADHD bastard.

I been playing around with the med pack back to gun script found on archived et useful scripts here on F|A but I'm having trouble remaining discrete because sometimes I would end up shooting making noise when I press my bind when I wanted the med packs to heal myself like a b*** Rambo nurse would.

I am on my phone right now but if anyone understands what script I'm talking about is there a way to execute this bind without the shots being fired by accident . Anyways I'll practice fine tuning it when I'm available later or tomorrow.

Since I'm typing on my phone I'll try and make sense of my incoherent rambling. It looks like this, [weaponbank 6; wait 2 ; +attack] etc... -attack my memory is not helping healthon something.

Post your script, you're using, here.

We could test it with different scripts.

example script:

set medon "weaponbank 6; wait 2; +attack "
set medoff "-attack; wait 1; weaponbank 3"
bind CTRL "+vstr medon medoff"

P.S. It'd be good if you created new topic for it, since this topic's problem has been solved already.
