Hello everyone.

 

     I've just got COD4 around 3 weeks ago, and it seems like I've gotten temp banned once a week. I've ask the Admins/Members that are present at the time and they don't know why. I didn't brake any rules (that I know of),  I've been very courteous, and I don't use Martyrdom, just Last Stand. I'm not irritated in anyway, I'm just somewhat confused. My in game name is MM|Jack if that's any help.

Hi Jack.  When you get banned, it should tell you why and by whom.  If you haven't caught that yet, see if you can catch it again.  I haven't noticed you breaking any rules when I'm on with you.

I notice in the logs that you change your name quite often, just a heads-up after about 3-4 name changes it will automatically kick you for 45 minutes. It's a preventative measure we've taken to combat trolls and users who use a cheat that changes their name x-amount of times per second to confuse admins who don't really know what they're doing.

 

I have a hunch that these frequent name changes may be what your issue is.

Well, again, in the connection logs I see your name changing quite often, which is what lead me to think that was your problem. The only other cause I could think of off the top of my head would be if you were impersonating an admin (which I don't see that you have been) but given these logs, it looks like name changes is your culprit.

 

Dunno what's doing it, dunno if you use a bind to change your name sometimes like I do and you're accidentally hitting it or doing it on purpose, or if it's some sort of bizarre error, but the logs back it up :\

 

Here are the logs, I masked the IP and most of the GUID for privacy, left only the last 4 digits to verify that it's you:

Oooohhhh. So he's changing his name to avoid bad streaks being recognised under stats trackers.

I don't have any binds lol. But I do see that one of the names has a space at the end. could that space make it think that my name changed? Either way that kind of narrows it down so I can try to fix that problem on my end.
