Just wondering what the FA policy is on players that exploit glitches on maps and in mods to gain an advantage when defending a map or winning it? There are a few examples I can think of (but wont post here because everyone will start doing it) but I am sure that some people reading this thread might also know of a couple themselves.

Basically, is it considered cheating, lame, dishonorable, etc. etc? I've seen it done a few times and people have complained but generally it's when there isnt an admin around.

Exploiting a bug or glitch on any map to gain advantage over the enemy is not allowed. Admin will warn you 3 times and after that admin may decide to put you in spec or to kick you out of the servers, so fair play can be maintained. Repeated rule breaking of this rule after couple kicks will result in short to long term ban depending on what admin sees fit

Also you should download Xfire: http://classic.xfire.com/download/ if you dont have it already, so you can get an admin on quickly.

It is considered cheating and dishonorable.

If you have examples, or evidence of players doing it, please use the Contact Us form here to inform the high-admins without giving players knowledge of how to exploit: http://fearless-assassins.com/contactus/

If You mean secret rooms (mostly on MLB maps) it's ok to use them, like it was already said on forums.

Correct, like MLB. If it's part of the map (secret rooms and stuff..) then it's considered to be allowed.

Correct me if I am wrong here. It is only a glitched area if the person or persons are in an area that can hit people without being hit. Or getting through walls to open doors to complete objectives. As for getting high places, they would be accessable from tj'ing and of course MLB maps with their hidden rooms.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell with a couple of other things people are doing as well. :)

I have seen the same players exploiting the same glitches on Super Goldrush, and those are not rooms, it looks pretty much like a flaw and they shoot you but you cant shoot them like Sl@yer mantioned.

Well for example aldernest. The roof u can get hit and fire urself. However we consider it a glitch.. It was something about being able to get there without double jump or not etc.. Mostly try to discuss with ur fellow admins :)
