A_Snake Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 There are other rifles besides the M16? I never knew. M16 for me then the AK and M4. 1 Quote
convertor Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I like the M16 for most maps with red dot and deep impact. but on a run and gun map i use M16 and, over kill and have a P90 for close range it will clear a room. Quote
Moxie_01 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) The G36c is great with hipfire, m4 not so much, and ak eh... even with steady aim, although the ak is pretty good, i find myself using m4 with acog or red dot sight for easy killing at a distance ~Ace Ak/M4 aren't really hipfire close range weapons, though. So steady aim is pretty useless when in combo. Good things to use would be bandolier, or things like uav jammer. Red dot on M4 is pretty decent, but you can be just as accurate with silencer, and as bonus, you minimize radar reveals. G36 is amazeballs with hipfire though. My new fav toy for a bit. You guys are joking right? The M4 has the second highest hipfire rating in the game, right after the P90. Slap Steady Aim on the M4 and its hipfire is higher than the P90. Not only do I know this from experience, but look at any cod4 weapon stat site and it will tell you. You guys probably aren't killing anyone because the gun doesn't do much damage. From personal experience, no stats involved, I like the assault rifles in this order: M16 G36C M4 AK-47 G3 M14 MP44 Edited February 21, 2014 by Moxie_01 Quote
SiD Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Where does it say we're not killing anyone? I, in my personal experience, do not care to use long barrel assault rifles for hip fire. I find them unreliable when running and gunning at close range, and I dislike the feel for hipfire. I don't just speak of accuracy, but of popping out of situations like sprint. Great long range weapons, decent mid, but close range, I prefer the G36 because of how it feels when I'm running mobile. If running M4 I would rather use something like extreme conditioning over SA, thus my conclusion. This is all a subjective and preference thing. Quote
B1gM1k3 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 SiD has some solid points on the M4 and AK. G36 I'm not very familiar with besides a bit of field firing. The M4 is a solid, lightweight, accurate as hell, modifiable (is that a word??) weapon with decent survivability. The AK is a fantastic weapon for real world senarios in my opinion. It has so proliferated modern society that you could probably find ammo for it in your neighbor's house (if you are in a pinch?). I know when deployed, AK would serve as the go to weap if you were out of ammo in your US supplied weap. They were always laying around after a "local meeting"... Quote
sonofsam Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 M16 Red dot shoots straight before I had to much Caffeine . After my Caffeine I start shaking a little bit I go to M4 red dot. Ak47 good also with iron sites, got to shoot in burst in my opinion. Quote
gibson66 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 AK47 is better than the m16. No one would argue that the m16 is a great long distance weapon, but I feel like the pause between bursts can leave you screwed in the point blank situations. The AK47 is more versatile. Unlike the m16, it doesn't excel at any particular range. Rather, it's decent at any distance, and that's really important on maps where you need versatility. But of course the g36 is better than both of those guns. And the ak74u is better than every assault rifle, but thats just my opinion lol Quote
ronaldounit0 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I'm going to have to change my vote: I'm sticking with the G36C as my overall favorite, but it only excels for maps that are medium to long range (the red dot sight is very steady and easy to keep on target). The M4 is my favorite for closer range for the hipfire and rpm. I would make it my overall favorite, but at long range the sights sway too much to be accurate. Quote
