Ken Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 So I have been dealing with this shit all afternoon. Reinstalled COD at least 5 times and when ever I put my profile back I get this. Whats the point in backing it up if the game thinks it's garbage. If you got any tips or tricks that might help post. Wont be able to do anything tonight, but I will read them. The_Dom Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 How are you restoring the profile? Are you just pasting it in there and letting it overwrite the current mp file? If so, try renaming it with .old as the extension, then pasting in your backup mp file. Or you can create a new profile in the game and then do the same thing, rename the mp file and paste in your backup. I have a few more idea's too but I don't know how the game will react, so I won't post it. Let me know if those work or not, we can try the other idea's if needed. Quote

I got bored so I said screw it, did a full system roll back (after copying all documents and pictures to a safe place), and I still had this problem. So I but it back in its original state, because who cares I will just play through and have fun right? Anyways, long story short is I some how got a new COD4 GUID. Don't really care about that, but the server keeps kicking me for using my name, so I will make a tracker get that fixed, than get admin levels set, than be back in the game shortly. On the plus side, I got my binds to work, saves me the pain of redoing those. **EDIT** 1 If you are using steam, it could have changed your cdkey... it did it to me. Spanky Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Well, I had exactly the same error as that today but i didnt uninstall, my laptop battery ran out and when i went back on all my profile was wiped except the name..Now re-leveling all over again, you're not alone Quote
