there are several different versions of cod. we have servers on the 1.6 version and 1.7 version. If you just bought the game within the last year and a half you would have 1.7 (you can also check by running cod, the home page, look down in the right bottom corner should say sumthin like 1.754 for 1.7 patch and 1.684 for 1.6 patch.) If you are on a mac you can only play on 1.7 version. But for everyone else you just need the patch selector or a double install.
