Every time landmines or any other objective related sound is played I get this short freeze lockup. Other players complain about it also. Don´t think I changed lately something in my settings, also the packetloss have been even higher and still no lagz.

That's your ISP side. sole-bb1-te1-1.starman.ee = 16% packet loss.

For sound lag check your GPU driver settings.

I could have even 50-70% in my ISP side and still no lag. I´ve had ISP related lags also but then my ping also jumps from 140 to 160 but its stable at moment.

I don´t recall changing anything on my PC but maybe its my PC.

Though why I brought this up because several people complained at exact same time about similar symptoms. Told them to report it also.

And the thing is I don´t have this lag in other games(Dead Space 3 with max settings and no lag).

Maybe other jay2 admins can ask around and post their SS also?

Freeze would only happen when your  HD or CPU is throttled which could be the case either from external applications on your PC.

This isn't network related issue but more like settings or hardware related one.

Can u try to increase your soundmegs from command line and then launch ET? See how it goes.

Okey i not play yesterday (sunday) but i was playing saturday. Then i have very short freezes but nothing what disturb me. Some players say too that they have small freezes time to time. But when i play longer its gone and no freeze anymore. But that happen saturday. Only time when i have lagg/freeze on Jay2 and i played there long long time. So i dont think that relate your topic but just say what i see when i played saturday. I send here second message if i lagg/freeze today.

How big is your sound megs? or for everyone having the issue?

Are you all using latest drivers?  Did it happened before also? or it started recently?

Does same things happen on jaymod 1?

Does the player count affect the sound lag?

Windows OS and your GPU? Driver info please?

Can you ask others to provide the info? If we have 20 players having the issue we could easily pin point from where it's coming.

Their is no extrapolation on lagometer so that confirms its not server. Now this is something related to local PC. If we get more info it from all we can figure out the issue.

I updated my drivers via Auto detect, and was able to play without any lag, just recently it started happening, and I noticed it's happening in Oasis and Marrakech, not sure if I noticed it on other maps

So had less lag today, though still happened, when landmines were spotted or obj announcements shout. Tried to hype hunk- and soundmegs, no difference(\com+TAB showed raised values).

It happened lately and strange thing is I´ve not changed anything. Still on AMD 13.4 drivers. CPU is near 60% load, Start manager up and don´t notice any spikes in process loads.(audiodg.exe 0%-1%). And winMTR shows similiar results:

My ISP shows more packetloss but that tinet.net less, and theres also less lag. Maybe some correlation? But need more info from others too.

Have to check to run from other HD: same with other HD and installation with not so many packs.

Also in marrakech it went bad, snatch was OK. Player amount was the same 10 vs 10, take or give couple players.

Went from jay2 marrakech with lockups to jay1 with double amount of players and didn´t notice those lockups, had usual CPU\ISP related loss of snaps but this is covered in another topic. Overall playing was more smoother in jay1 even with more players.

I think then it's sound pack causing issue. Let's try to remove sound pack from jay2 for couple of days and see if that fixes the issue. But if it's sound pack it should have caused long time back.

OR I will install new server for testing on jay2 machine and see if that fixes the issue.

No lags yesterday! Play almost everymap yesterday and no problems. Hopefully you laggs is gone too Vanaraud and Mccloud!

Yes it was less.

And if its soundpack overspamming should make it worse but didn´t notice it  and it should have been long time ago as DD said. I noticed some settings like artillery is changed, maybe anything else? Enhanced mod settings changed?
