PiaNist Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) Sorry for bumping this topic. I just want to update you guys with the build. I've finally got the time & money to gather all the components (except for gpu) for my first ever build. This time, components are: Case: Bitfenix Phenom mini itx case white mobo: Gigabyte Z87n-wifi proc: Intel i5-4570 Hdd: Western Digital Black 640GB 7200rpm 64mb cache (bare drive) Ram: gskill ripjaws x 8gb (4gbx2) 1600mhz cl9 psu: Seasonic s12ii 520w OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 pro genuine retail license plus additional Bitfenix spectre pro 230mm blue led total: after conversion to usd, $670 now i know i'll probably get criticisms for my choice of the case & other components. With the case, it is love at first sight . I just love the clean look, elegant, minimalistic style of the case. And as a first time pc builder, this case is probably not recommended, but hey, I've done my research & I'm totally up for the challenge. The psu, it was recommended by the store technician. He said a non modular psu is recommended for my case so i agreed althought i've seen phenom cases with a modular psu. As for the other stuff, its the best bang for my buck as I only have 700-800usd for this build. For the gpu, planning to get evga gtx 650 ti boost superclocked OR save more and get evga gtx 760. For now, all these goodies sit in my room til I've got the time to actually build it. Edited October 16, 2013 by PiaNist Quote

Vanaraud Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Seems decent PC. Was going to suggest new AMDs but with ITX case you´d probably need to keep power consumption down, so have nothing to add but good luck with building it. I wonder does really graphics fit in there? Quote
BAMA Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Dang IkillCampers,, 6 monitors, I just use one big one, lol. Being that my pc is on it"s death bed I have been looking around for a new one myself.I have been looking at the Digital Storm Vanquish level 4. It"s around $1,400 so it"s good price I think but I am no computer person by far, I read the reviews on it. Quote
