Helicopter aimbot to high?

Has there been a change to the helo in COD4?  There are a lot of guys complaining that the aimbot setup is too high.

 

I have noticed that it is killing a lot more guys than it used to.

 

Players are asking if we can lower the settings?  I told them I would ask.

I swear the health on the heli was taken lower. I don't know about that. I just seem to be taking the heli down a lot easier. But I haven't really noticed what you mean smoke on the server.

i didnt notice any changings. imo the heli is to weak.

Heli is weak, it takes less then 30 shots to kill it and aimbot is ok, if you hide it won't shoot to you.

helicopter config hasn't been changed in quite a while (few years at least)... never gotten any complaints about it :\

 

if anything I'd say it may be too easy to shoot down... but if it were any harder to shoot down I may end up pulling my hair out waiting for my team to shoot it lol

Honestly, maybe it's just because I read this post a few days ago, but I swear that last night it was getting 10-15 kills at a time for me. I called one in and it flew around for 5 minutes before flying off (I know that the other team had plenty of opportunity to shoot it down). They're not any harder to shoot down than before, but they seem more efficient. I could be wrong though.

The heli is fine, people just don't shoot at it very often :/

The heli's seem to prefer you if you are a threat to it.  Try not shooting it as it approaches you, as you are nearly always the victim.

Don't encourage them to not shoot it! If you shoot it, it will often go down faster and thus get far less kills.

It only takes one clip from an AK, any other assault rifle, or any sniper rifle to take it down (10 round clips). I think you can even take it down with a single clip from a P90 as well. Sure it might kill you, but only once.

Helis will go after you more aggressively if you shoot them, less so if you don't, BUT I always encourage the team to all help shooting them down, which is by far the best way to be successful individually and as a team, saving multi-kills and ammo/re-loads.

 

Often, it is the only the more experienced and skilled players (who consistentlly top the leaderboards) that end up shooting them down solo, which takes a full clip, causes another re-load, gets that player killed/targeted by the heli almost for sure,  takes his/her attention off killing the enemy, and makes him a more vulnerable target for the opposing team's players, none of which helps the player who decides to ignore the heli and hide from it.......so be a team player and shoot them down immediately.

 

BTW, I often will target them before they even arrive overhead and begin shooting, whenever possible, and shoot them down at a long distance, to prevent anyone, myself included from getting hit at all.

Even when a heli has standard HP its easy to take down when you have 10+ people on a team, but the ones on our servers can be taken out with a single AK or P90 clip...

 

The time people take to complain about a heli kill is 3x-4x longer than it takes to kill it lol

There is the TK stat given in the !stats command. I am not sure what TK stands for, but it indicates how many helicopters you have shot down. I love when I see someone tote a high KDR and a zero next to the TK stat.

TK is team kill I think, but that is a nifty idea.

 

If you call in a heli and auto balance switches you or if you toss a grenade then auto balance switches you and someone on your new team dies, it will count as a TK I think. I think there are more scenarios like toobs and clays but you get the idea ^^

I thought that's what it was at first too, but nope. I tested it out one night and team killed someone with a claymore. It didn't budge when I updated it the following round. So I shot down 3 choppers and it went up exactly 3.

 

For the life of me, I can't understand why it's not listed as something else, or what TK stands for though.
