The_Dom Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 what happens when you load the disk? does it just spin? does the driver react to it at all? you need to give more details. Quote

keNdeL Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 I bought a game for Steam.. I don't know what to do. I paid for it all the money. Shit. Quote
Administrators JoeDirt Posted June 4, 2013 Administrators Posted June 4, 2013 It has to download to your computer first. Also in Steam did you go to Games > Activate a product on steam? Quote
The_Dom Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 So what is not working about it then, is it giving any error? is it just not launching, but not giving any errors either? What have you tried to do for troubleshooting? You have still given 0 info about your issue, I/we are happy to help but you need to give details beyond "o shit its not working". What is your computer configuration, what os are you running etc. anything will help, we just need more details in order to help. Quote
Guardian Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Hello guys! I have a question. I bought a CoD MW1 game about 2-3 years agod. At that time i haven't got a steam. Under the disk is a KEY , at this morning i tried to add MW to steam liblary. But i didn't add. I;m so sad,cuz i like MW1 , and i would like to play with my teammates. What i need to do? :/ So this is your other post about this so my question to you is now: Have you bought a new (steam/disk)copy of CoD4 MW1? If not, you have to because you can't use the keys given with disk versions with steam. (correct me if i'm wrong) Quote
keNdeL Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 I bought a dist. Install it , and CoD 4 didn't run on steam. I can't play a game. It shows nothing, not error , NOTHING. My PC can run everything ( BF3 also ), i don't know what to do. Guardian, i bought a Steam version, you are wright! Quote
Guardian Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Can you explain what you mean with "dist" please. If you want to play it on steam you should have downloaded it from here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/7940/ If you did that, then I have no idea what may cause the problem. Quote
keNdeL Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 I DID IT! I don' t want to buy it again! I don't have money anymore.. Quote

Did you download and pay for it via steam, or did you install it via disk as in a physical cd/dvd that you run from you cd/dvd player? (I am making an assumption that dist is actually disk, because I assume you do not mean a distribution as dist typically means when referring to computers.) The troubleshooting is completely different. If you installed it via disk, there is no need for steam, it runs independently from steam. Steam was either just starting, or not even in existence when this game was released. Steam has since added cod4 for purchase but it still doesn't work well with steam. Again, more details.
