Jefke Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Funny, but wrong prove it's wrong as far as I know there are indeed no people who died from cannnabis Peanuts do indeed kill (extreme allergy)... 1 Quote
Kat0n Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 prove it's wrong as far as I know there are indeed no people who died from cannnabis Peanuts do indeed kill (extreme allergy)... Well, I have absolutely no idea of the exact amount of deaths due to cannabis itself, I mean overdose, or your body didn't react very well, etc, but I'm sure it can be 0. Everyone's different, and I won't be surprised if someone had a brain/body which couldn't handle cannabis effects. Moreover, like someone probably more intelligent than you and me said : "everything's toxic, it's all about the dose". So the amount of deaths related directly to cannabis is probably not very high (I mean, not millions) but it's probably more than peanuts. This is common sense. Now, about deaths cause indirectly by cannabis, I think we can put some in the category "Road", among others. So no, this post isn't true (btw I don't know the exact amount of deaths caused by aspirin each year, but I'm sure that it's more than 4000 since aspirin overdose isn't so rare, so it also seems wrong to me ) Quote

Which doesn't mean it's safe, driving while under influence is still stupid, but those don't count with cannabis. Those indeed belong to road, not cannabis. I'm pretty sure only direct deaths count. ps. of course the number won't be zero, considering their is tar in it. But that would be hard to prove, considering there aren't many people who only use cannabis and don't smoke cigarettes on such a level that this can become a health risk. => and the cannabis consumption will be lower than cigarettes: fair bet I dare to take. pss. While we are busy, of course you can't take these numbers serious without a proper source psssttt... I check the road kill number and that one seems to be correct EDIT 5 million: tabacco is really depended according to the source and year (2010 I get result on 4 million, 2012: 8 million !!!) aspirin according to a different source is about 100k (which is actually a good reason to legalize cannabis as alternative) violence and war I wouldn't consider (except when averages over a very long time) please note all these sources come from the internet and some (like the aspirin one) aren't 100% trustworthy Edited February 19, 2013 by DrJoske Quote
Kat0n Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Those indeed belong to road, not cannabis. Should belong to cannabis, after all, I bet that road deaths due to alcohol belongs to alcohol and not to road, but this poster has been made by a 100% pro cannabis obviously lol...and like I said above, I know that normally dose needed to reach overdose with cannabis is pretty high, but same goes for peanuts lol...unless you're allergic, ie your body reacts very bad when it's confronted with the substance. Same reasoning for cannabis. Quote

I kind of bet they don't overdose alcohol is easy to achieve overdose cannabis: 15K joint is 20min (source wiki so I guess 60% trustworthy) lethal amount of peanuts: any if you are SUPER allergic to them => friend of me already swells when somebody is eating peanuts 10m away Quote
Jefke Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Just to finish it: some numbers can be found here: http://www.who.int/en/ Tabacco and Alcohol are close enough No numbers on cannabis though (real shame => curious now) 2 Quote
