Glitching definition

What is glitching in CoD4 on Beginners defined as? To me, it is when a player discovers a way to exploit a spot on the map that was not intended to be used or reached by the map designers. For instance, if you have to walk the entire boundary of the map, pressing up against the boundary in order to find the precise spot where you can do the moonwalk backwards and use a grenade to launch yourself to a higher vantage point, then you have discovered a way to exploit a spot that the designers never intended a player to reach/utilize.

 

But if you are just jumping to get there, then that's not glitching.

 

How about on FA servers?

That's a pretty good definition for a glitch,

 

The rules we've got for glitching are the same on every server we run.

 

These are not allowed:

1.) If you cannot be hit in the "glitch"

2.) if the glitch displaces your body to make it appear in a different spot than it actually is

3.) if the glitch allows you to leave the boundries of the map aka fly or fall beneath the map

4.) if the glitch allows you to shoot with clear visibility through solid objects while remaining invisible to all opponents

 

the only exceptions are spots that you have figured out how to jump/climb up to that leave you visible and vulnerable to enemy fire

 

These should be added to the COD4 wiki, so we'll get to that sometime soon.

I like to climb and bounce around in the servers, but most every spot I get to I'm able to be shot... Just some of the players aren't bright enough to figure out where they are getting shot from.

I see that number 3 rule from Gi-Joe,,how about Temple map on Recruiting where you can"walk on air". Is it a secret room or glitch,,cause i have heard it said to be both,,,,just asking.
