PiNoY Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I dont have any idea for examples..but if i want to define a word in google, i personally google for define:blade maybe you can google for metaphor:blade metonymy:blade and see if that would take you to a lead. 1 Quote
docwarren Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I'm not an English major, but...... "Cross me and you will feel my blade". Which would be saying if you bring harm to me, you will feel my wrath/anger. Can easily use "I bought some new blades" - I bought a new pair of rollerblades or ice skates. 1 Quote
Saizou Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Blade of grass also comes to mind, meaning a grass leaf. Or a shoulder blade, as a part of human body. "She picked up a blade of grass". "Shoulder blades are more visible on skinny people". 1 Quote
++Sl@yer Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I flashed my blade at the helpless clerk. 1 Quote
