COD 4 Key Code prob

Hey guys, before I actually purchased the game on steam, I let my cousin play with a pirated game key on cod 4 but now that I actually bought the game and want to use it n =F|A= servers I get the error that my key code is in use. I was wondering how I get the key code from when I bought the game off steam and erase the pirated one permanently. I used a program like Ccleaner and re-installed the game but it keeps loading the bad key onto the profile. Any help?

Try restart router it works for me. This happens to me when i get dc and im in game so i just restart modem/router and it does the trick

You just restarted ur modem and router? Thats all it took? Pirated COD keys only allow you to play on cracked servers and every single player has an individual key and it wont work unless im using a key that nobody has. I wanted to know how to find my other key since the pirated key is transferring onto my purchased game over the other key

make a fresh install. your origin cod4 key should be istalled and fix your problems. (but dont forget to back up your profile)

yes, uninstall, restart and then install the game - it looks like the old key is stuck in your registry;

and I think choseonone means awaiting keycode authorization?

You can not use old profile with new key as far as I know..

As he said, keys and profile are matched, so start a new profile.

Hmmmm.. that's weird, I was not asked of COD 4 key code when I installed it...so I dont know how to back it up also.

I have done 3 fresh installations and it keeps giving me the same pirated key in my registry, so everytime I try to log onto a server, it says key code in use..

 

 

EDIT: What I did was go through my registry and delete the key and now re-installing it to see if my new key will be replaced. I will keep you updated.
