I think there's an old bug (possibly a feature to prevent newbs from getting stuck when doing unbindall) where you can't change the key that you toggle the console with.

 

Your best bet is press every button while you're in the menu, then press every button with shift, then press every button with fn & same with alt gr or option key whatever you mac guys use

 

If you drag your finger along, you can do this in about twenty seconds, then if that doesn' twork, I don't think you can open the console with your keyboard.

 

Maybe if you change the language of your keyboard, you might be able to trick your computer into binding it into the key next to return, below ], but I have no idea how you can get console up tbh.

 

 

oh and have you tried the key to the right of P, and then if that doesn't work the key above that one

 

 

or I guess if you still couldn't do it, you could buy a usb keyboard with the button

You can use an external keyboard to fix the problem. It's like $25 in Best Buy if the problem still not fixed just reinstall the game. Good luck

I dont see anything that is wrong with the binds. And earlier this day i tried to change my bind for the console (to see if it was the same for me) and after i saved the changes and started the game, the bind didnt change. I tried to re-bind it through the console but it didnt work.

 

Right now i think that the binds i made for you is the best way to make a demo.

Well, this seems like the next step, as my guess is that the issue is not in the files, so much as the fact that it has trouble with your keyboard - so reinstalling may not help at all

 

Looks like you can get a crappy USB keyboard for under $10 online (I'm not sure how shipping will work out or if you can find one locally). Or you could spring for one of them fancy roll-up kinds...or my favorite, Apple's Bluetooth keyboard...though that can be pricy. Even if it doesn't work, it can be super helpful to have lying around. I have a laptop and I like to keep a USB keyboard sitting around the house...just in case.

I guess thats my only hope. It'll probably take me a long time to buy a new keyboard but I'll try asap. Like I said, for now I only tried to open console to record a demo. But laintime helped me with that so I'm satisfied for now.
