Well, in my opnion The jay4 bots could use an update or get removed, For some reason they never shoot at or with you unless they can steal your kill, or kill you when you are low hp ,so yea i dislike the bots they are free kills if you want to build a spree and annoying when you are in combat.

 

Does anyone feel the same way about this '-'

Bots will not be removed. They guarantee that, if few players connect to the server, you can still play. Bots might be free kills for you. Yet, others like them. And they disconnect autmatically, once there are enough real players on both teams. So why remove them. Not all players like to play 2on2. And bots usually go for the objective - so it is not a bad thing.

Bots want to steal your kills and target you when you are almost dead? You do realize that they have no mind, no brain, are fully automated, consist of more or less simple routines and thus are unable to think, right? On the other hand, I always suspected my fridge, that old bastard, of hiding food.

 

Jokes apart, unless you are able to create more intelligent bots, you'll have to live with those nasty ones and they won't get removed for the reasons Thistle listed above.

Well i know that bots have one objective that they try to accomplish unless you hit them or what so ever, but i think that im just the bad luck bryan when it comes to bots, they seem to have a new objective which is "Annoy Silverhawk!"

 

And about the intelligent bots, there are ways to make them more Human like, as in giving them fight patterns like movements and uhm you can give them more than one objective, as they are now set to for fill there primary objective you could add a secondary objective like Killing players and give them Even values so he does the closest objective dunno what bots you guys use but i was able to do that with Mbot

Anyway back to the point, i've heared that there are certain levels for "bots"- is that correct?

and if so what is the current level of jay4 bots?

The only "Mbot"s I could find are an IRC bot and a cheat.

Only thing I noticed might just be my mind playing tricks on me are bots are basically super-bots when there are a low amount of people. haha. Seriously though without bots new people would leave for reasons i shouldn't have to explain.

Ofcourse i'am aware of the reasons why bots are in a server, but maybe decrease the ammount of bots, 10 v 10 bot stack, might tone it down to 5 v 5? just a suggestion tho, i decided to play other =F|A= servers when there aren't others in Jay4 .

The more people that join the more the bots decrease. Today we had like 9v9 and there were no bots. Simply put If decent amount of people are on the bot numbers decrease.

I agree with Thistle's reasons, jay4 needs 'FreeFrag' Bots. My only problem is the unequal bot distribution between the teams, when you can't join the weaker team without admin help.

And to answer to the subject of the bots i agree with my friends here...To remove th ebots will make the people disconnect...When there are not enough people on the server it is free kills for you. They are removed automatically when there are enough people connected. And when admins are on the server they put them in spec if needeed.

I gotta say these bots are actually more fun to play with than on many other servers. But I agree with Silverhawk that 5 vs 5 is more than sufficient. A human 5 vs 5 match is great, so no need to throw in extra bots.

 

BTW: What keeps me from saying 'bots' on the server. Would the bots consider it as an offensive term and kill me?
