Dont get discouraged! Finish your soundpack. The nq1 sound pack is only temporary. Do it because you want to not because you feel pressured to.

I will go on, but I won't hurry too much now, theres another soundpack there that can last for some time^^

I am interested but question is do you know exactly how to create sound pack? Do you know how to create UI for sound packs? Can u optimize sounds?

I know only what people tell me and what I've learned from the tutorial (and a few things I've learned from examining the files).

I asked several times if soundpackcreator is a program I can use for this, no one replied.

I asked if the pk3 file that I uploaded was correctly made, no one replied.

I really want to go on with this (I really like working with sounds), but I would like to know someone to ask questions. I can learn some things alone, but sometimes I just need someone to answer a question. Is there someone like this?

I ofcourse don't want to bother daredevil with this (he's busy enough with everything^^), but I suppose there are other people that know how to...

So if theres anyone around who I can add on xfire and ask questions if I'm stuck, I'm sure it will help :)

Sorry for that, but i don't know why we keeping this server.

it is not attractive/popular at all . Today we was only 3 players for 1 hours, who was the players? me, platonic war and julez. Is good to improving Nq2 but if nobody play here, what is the usefullness?

I think keeping this server online have a cost, and keeping online for bots isn't logic. I'm ok some players play on this server, but they are really few . So why we don't close it and send the players on Nq3 who is similar?

Sorry for those who doesn't like this suggestion.

here is the server information about utilisation: http://et.trackbase.net/?mod=serverinfo&idx=31213&show=util

Well I do not like it^^

Nq2 is a server with very nice people (if they are there). We have almost no b***es, so the atmosphere is great.

This is the kind of server with potential.

We (and daredevil) have improved this server a lot by joining fa.

New players won't be there within a day, but maybe within a month.

At least we can give it a try for some time, and if it doesn't improve we could think about what you say again.

For now, I think it's rubbish and I think you should know a server better before you say this.

I'm sorry if I'm rude, but I think people who know the server should have their say on this, and you don't seem to know it.

I also don't see the point of creating a new silent server and deleting this one.

Tell me if I'm wrong.

PS: I do not think this discussion belong here, the topic title is ways of improving nq2. Create a new thread if you want to discuss this any further please.

Edit: on this very moment there are 13 players online. If you look at trackbase you'll see that's almost an exception... This server is improving, believe me.

Please inform yourself better of the server before you make a judgement. In the beginning of the month the server rank of NQ2 was ca. 125th. At the moment it's 103th. Since we startet to improve this server, lots of new regulars came in addition. And this progresses. Give it some month and we'll have another good server with increasing popularity. :dntk

i just gave my opinion -_-

I just said what i have in my mind:

We can merged Nq2 and Nq3==>1server with map voting, sound pack, good population, etc...

How do you want to do that without losing players on both sides?

Posted

I don't think we will lose players.

1 side doesn't move, so no losing here

For the other side, we can redirect them

1 server with people, map voting, etc will be more attractive than 2 server with few players.

But maybe i'm wrong

I'm sure we would lose players, but I repeat, open a new thread if you want to go on discussing this, this thread is about improving, not deleting nq2. Off topic. Please don't go on about it here.

my 2 cents:

1st: NQ3 ist settled in US while NQ2 is settled in Europe. For some connections that is a big difference.

2nd: As Krauersaut told me, there is no difference on the bill with or without this server. Let's try to bring all three NQs to the top , I say. But we need more members to do so.
