COD4 mac pb update

I am not getting a message that tells me to update PB. I am now getting a message that tells me that the server has disconnected.

 

 

I had the same problem when I downloaded the files on Thursday but now I could connect and play for a while until I got kicked again.

Ok got email from PB support this morning , you need your guid and game name , submit a ticket and put all of this in it give them the exact phrase that console gives you when it kicks you and they said that they will get back to us with in 24hrs that is the best that they could do

got the update email a few min ago , go to even balance.com and download new mac update , it is a manual update it goes in the dll folder in the pb folder, guar give me a shout if you need help

Works fine if you download the following three files into your installation directory. Right click on the links and select Download Linked File As....

 

 

For the Mac App Store version:

• Close the game
  
• Download mc002301.mac to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/dll/
  
• Download mc002301.htm to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/htm/
  
• Download ma001407.htm to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/htm/
  

For the Retail version:

• Close the game
  
• Download mc002301.mac to /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/dll/
  
• Download mc002301.htm to /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm/
  
• Download ma001407.htm to /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm/

We are aware that many Mac users are having problems since Version 2.301 of the PB Client for COD4 was released for auto-update on Monday. Unfortunately for those users, a manual update may be required. To manually update, Mac users should close COD4 if it is open and then download mc002301.mac. Then use Finder to move mc002301.mac into the pb/dll folder inside the COD4 application (you may have to right-click the COD4 icon and "Show Package Contents" in Finder to browse through to "pb" and then "dll").

there is a new file , download it and put it in the all folder in pb it works ,, make sure cod4 is not running or it will not work

I am having the same problem, BUT there is hope, Try this and follow the instructions.

 

Here is the fix. D/L and place inside Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/dll/

If you have a mac, here is a reply from EB on what to do so they know what kick you are getting:

 

Please go to your PB folder and create a plain text file "pbcl.cfg" in it (use a text editor like "Notepad", make sure it does not have an additional '.txt' extension). Put the text "pb_logtofile 1" (do not include the quotations) as a single line to it. Then save the file and join a PB enabled server. After getting kicked, you should have a file "pbcl.log" in the PB folder. Open the pbcl.log, copy and paste the contents of the log into a new note, here on the trouble ticket.
