The game has been free for over 2 years, same for the expansion. Sorry to derail this, but if you go to http://cnc-comm.com/community/ind...ew;down=41 You can get the game free with expansion AND online play.

 

Although showing only 640*480 and 800*600 in the game, you can go to sun.ini to set resolution higher than 800*600. Worked perfectly for my monitors with 1600*1200 or 1920*1080

 

Instructions: For those who are having problems!!! It works fine on Windows 7 64bit!

 

TO PLAY TIBERIAN SUN:

 

Unzip the .RAR file to C:\Program Files directory, after completion the file structure should begin with the EA Games folder

Simply click the "Play Tiberian Sun" shortcut in the EA Games folder

TO PLAY TIBERIAN SUN ONLINE:

 

*Due to the legacy and maintenance of the Westwood Online servers, we cannot guarantee successful online play.

*Online play is hosted and run by XWIS at http://www.strike-team.net. Please refer to their site for trouble-shooting.

 

Please make sure the "EA Games" folder has been unzipped to your C:\Program Files directory

 

Double-click "tibsun_regadd". You will get a successful registry update message.

 

In the "Internet" folder, double-click the "registerWOL.exe" batch file, this will correct your DLL files, click the successful message twice

 

***If you do not complete the above steps exactly, you will likely get a crash error or "missing online library" error

 

Click "Play Tiberian Sun" shortcut or Game.exe to boot the game up

Wow, Tiberian sun was one of the first RTS I played, even got the original, but never the expansion that I wanted to play so much. Definitely going to try it out.

sheeeeeit i remember playin the original on nintendo 64.... too scared to say what year that was lol

 

May be a safe bet sayin the majority of people in these forums were probably born AFTER that year hahaha
